Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

There are moments in life, which feel like a sea with a fog so thick that you can't see the horizon. As if the trees were always leafless, and it was always autumn or winter.

The dry leaves with the dew of the rain that resemble tears for a great sadness.

Those moments when life seems to break in two, like the dry skin of grief.

But in spite of all that, we must know that the sun will come out and that is why following the path is essential.

Design process

The design is made with 5 images and in 14 layers.

I chose an image of the sea with fog for the background which I enhanced with colour and on it I put the image of the trees in winter in two layers, with soft light and focal light.

Then I used the image of the leaf with dew with focal light fusion. I duplicated this image and placed pieces of it in two layers on the left side of the design.

Underneath these last layers, I worked on the face image in three layers with darken, overlay and lighten merges and on one more layer, just the eyes, I enhanced the light and contrast of the eyes.

Finally, I selected the tear from the image of the crying child and pasted it into the design in three layers with three different positions and scales and with luminosity blending.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Hay momentos en la vida, que se sienten como un mar con niebla tan espesa que no deja ver el horizonte. Como si siempre los árboles estuvieran sin hojas, y siempre fuera otoño o invierno.

Las hojas secas con el rocío de la lluvia que se asemejan a las lágrimas por una gran tristeza.

Esos momentos en que parece que la vida se quiebra en dos, como se quiebra a piel reseca de la pena.

Pero a pesar de todo eso, debemos saber que saldrá el sol y por ello seguir el camino es fundamental.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño esta realizado con 5 imágenes y en 14 capas.

Elegí una imagen de mar con niebla para el fondo al cual le realcé el color y sobre ella puse la imagen de los árboles en invierno en dos capas, con luz suave y luz focal.

Luego usé la imagen de la hoja con rocío con fusión de luz focal. Dupliqué es imagen y coloqué trozos de la misma en dos capas sobre el lado izquierdo del diseño.

Debajo de estas últimas capas, trabajé la imagen del rostro en tres capas con fusiones oscurecer, superponer y aclarar y en otra capa más, sólo de los ojos, realcé la luz y el contraste de los mismos.

Finalmente seleccione la lágrima de la imagen del niño llorando y la pegué en el diseño en tres capas con tres posiciones y escalas distintas y con fusión de luminosidad.

La animación esta realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
