I found a park while I was running errands and shopping.
I was going to accompany my mother on a morning when she had a specific shopping trip to make. So we took the bus because I didn't really know where the place was, but she did. My only intention was to accompany her.
We got off the bus and started walking, we arrived at the shop and after a few minutes of waiting she was served and everything went very quickly.
As the whole thing took place with almost no waiting time, I suggested my mother to walk a bit, breathe the air and clear her mind, so we started to walk in that neighbourhood, which I had not walked before.
I looked at the map on my phone and I said to myself here is a green area, why not go to that place.
We were walking along when suddenly we came across an avenue, but in the middle of it there was a very large park, which covered a large part of the avenue's length.
It was full of flowerbeds with palm trees, but as it was midday there wasn't much shade.
However, my mother and I decided to walk through it from one end to the other and get to know it. Some of the palm trees were bigger and we could rest in the shade of them.
Since I arrived in Spain my great friend is the map, it helps me to find my way around, I think like most people.
That's why I opened the map again and started to look where I was located. It seems that this park divides two districts of the city, next to the big avenue that cuts perpendicularly to the well-known Avenida de Carlos Haya, where one of the most famous hospitals of the city is located.
As I like exploring a lot, I stayed in this park to get to know it well and enjoy it. Another day I would go to the one I had looked for first. Sometimes I like to find surprises along the way.
Life sometimes surprises pleasantly and not only with parks or new places, that's the most beautiful thing of all.
So we started walking, admiring the flower beds, very well arranged, by the way.
The park was well maintained, tidy, clean, nice for a nice walk. We could also look at the houses on both sides and in the distance on the mountain.
Almost halfway through the park we came across the children's playground, they were still at school, so the playground rests until the time when there is that great joy of receiving the laughter of those children.
I also imagined them in the different places, running around with immense joy while the parents chatted. I usually imagine a lot of things, and this one came to my mind at that moment.
When I looked into the distance what I liked most was the contrast of the sky, today in various shades of blue, together with the palm trees.
Depending on where I was standing, the shades of sky, sun and palm trees were different, in some there were more shadows and in others more illumination. It seemed as if I had visited the place at different times of the day.
I paid attention to the shadows drawn on the ground by the different objects, but above all by the palm trees, the bushes and the games.
On one side the palm trees had that beautiful green colour and if I turned around they were black. Had I changed planets? I don't know, but I loved taking pictures of them, I really enjoyed it.
I also found some flowering bushes. These last few days it has been not quite winter temperatures, 18 to 21 degrees, and the flowers are appearing.
Others I found at the foot of a tree, simple but beautiful.
The bird flower is very common in the city and I love it because they look like hands that want to wave, as well as their beautiful colour.
As I was reaching the end of the park, more shadows came out behind me.
Then I saw another bush full of yellow flowers, I was thinking about the simple things in life that are so beautiful. So often we overlook these things, but yet they bring so much joy.
When I got to the end of the route I came across this building, which I could see in the distance, it seemed striking and out of the ordinary. I went to the site, but it was private property and I couldn't get in. I was left with only that photo.
As the journey to my house was not that long, looking at the map again, because we had taken quite a detour, I asked my mother if she wanted to walk back and she said yes.
So we set off on our way back, chatting pleasantly and saying goodbye to that tall tree that stood out among the buildings.
It was an unexpected but pleasant walk with the best company and topics of conversation.

Discovering places is the best, when I was younger I use to travel a lot actually during high school I almost lost 9th grade because I was constantly traveling, use to do track and field long distance; I remember getting lost was the most exiting thing, once got lost in Chile but then you start to discover places like that park is big from some of the last pictures I can tell how long it is, simple things that makes you enjoy traveling, looks like you had a great time ✌️

a super big tree that overhangs also good that your mother wants to walk back to that place and it is perceived as a great quiet place with many trees which is very positive for humans.
She doesn't like to walk alone, so I tell her: Mum, I'm going to take photos, do you want to come? hahaha and she accompanies me. That way she walks and it's healthy. Thank you Monica!❤️

What a beautiful walk! First of all, it's so great that you accompanied your mother, I also love going to places with my mom, we always have a good time. The palm trees are a beautiful detail and I love the children playground, we don't have those where I live, children would love it, I know my inner child does 😅.
