Creo que me gustan los caballos desde que nací o quizá desde antes y cuando iba a aprender dibujo y pintura hice muchos de ellos, tanto de cuerpo entero como solo sus rostros.
Lo que más me fascinaba era su elegancia, fuerza, postura, el brillo de su cabello, me gustan sobre todo los caballos negros, y la magia que ellos desprenden.
Esta es la primera vez que traigo un cuadro hecho por mí a Hive. Un cuadro con esa intensión.
He pintado rocas, y he hecho pinturas simples, pero nunca, hasta ahora, algo como lo que pinto en la vida real.
Todos lo cuadros que tenía en Argentina los he regalado, pero desde que llegué a España he pintado varios que decoran mi hogar, dos de ellos son caballos, uno blanco y uno marrón.
Pero también me gusta la fantasía, por lo que decidí que el primer cuadro que trajera aquí debía ser algo surrealista. Un caballo azul.
El azul simboliza la inteligencia y la tranquilidad y me gustó hacerlo de esta manera.

I think I've liked horses since I was born or maybe even before and when I was learning drawing and painting I did a lot of them, both full body and just their faces.

What fascinated me the most was their elegance, strength, posture, the shine of their hair, I especially like black horses, and the magic they give off.

This is the first time I bring a painting made by me to Hive. A painting with that intention.

I have painted rocks, and I have done simple paintings, but never, until now, something like what I paint in real life.

All the paintings I had in Argentina I have given away, but since I arrived in Spain I have painted several paintings that decorate my home, two of them are horses, one white and one brown.

But I also like fantasy, so I decided that the first painting I brought here should be something surreal. A blue horse.

Blue symbolises intelligence and tranquillity and I liked to do it this way.

El cuadro está pintado sobre tabla y con pintura al óleo. Utilicé azul ultramar, azul talo, blanco, naranja, verde claro, amarillo claro, negro y morado.
Un caballo un poco loco, supongo que como la dueña.
En el proceso del dibujo hice algunas líneas que luego borré, sobre todo para marcar la distancia entre los ojos, orejas y situar la trompa.
Comencé primero con el boceto, marcando algunas líneas aquí y allá. Pero luego me enfoque en lo que es lo más complicado por la musculatura, la trompa. El ojo también es complicado por los pliegues que tiene a su alrededor, pero después de tantos caballos hechos ya sabía cómo debía ser.

The picture is painted on board and with oil paint. I used ultramarine blue, thalo blue, white, orange, light green, light yellow, black and purple.

A horse a bit crazy, I guess like the owner.

In the drawing process I made some lines that I erased later, mainly to mark the distance between the eyes, ears and to place the trunk.

I started first with the sketch, marking some lines here and there. But then I focused on what is the most complicated because of the musculature, the trunk. The eye is also complicated because of the folds around it, but after so many horses I knew how it should be.

En cuanto al proceso de pintura, primero pinté el fondo de blanco para que luego el caballo contraste, me encantan los contrastes de color.
Las líneas de dibujo para mí son una guía, pero nada más. Si me paso pintando el fondo blanco luego no hay problema, cuando pinto el caballo lo soluciono, de hecho, muchas veces improviso o cambio cosas respecto al dibujo original.
Para pintar el caballo primero coloqué en los lugares correspondientes el azul ultramar y el azul talo, luego el negro para reforzar los oscuros. El blanco va de último. Es el que marca la musculatura y las luces.
Luego continué con el ojo, parte muy importante porque determina la expresión del caballo.
El cabello es lo más fácil e hice a la inversa, primero el blanco y luego los colores, azul, verde y morado.
Finalmente decoré el caballo con flores y hojas sin una forma definida, ya que la prioridad la tiene él.

As for the painting process, first I painted the background in white so that the horse could contrast with it, I love colour contrasts.

The drawing lines for me are a guide but nothing more. If I go too far painting the white background then there is no problem, when I paint the horse I fix it, in fact many times I improvise or change things with respect to the original drawing.

To paint the horse I first put ultramarine blue and thalo blue in the corresponding places, then black to reinforce the darks. The white goes last. It is the one that marks the musculature and the lights.

Then I continued with the eye, a very important part because it determines the horse's expression.

The hair is the easiest and I did it the other way round, first the white and then the colours, blue, green and purple.

Finally I decorated the horse with flowers and leaves without a definite shape, as the horse has the priority.
