Eccentricity, unique style and very good information - Vision of an artist (EN-ES)
If I had seen it on YouTuve among a multitude of videos I might not have noticed it, but it was sent to me and I was fascinated.
There are people who believe in chance, well I don't, I believe that everything happens for a reason, is there or comes across something in life. I can not do a review of something without talking about what I believe, I know, you know me.
Several years ago, it happened that I spent a lot of time at home, people hardly went outside and I would watch YouTube videos, especially of music while I was painting.
But one day I get this video, which I'm going to tell you about today. As soon as I saw the cover I said, but... Who is this?
It was sent to me by someone who knows I like art, why shouldn't I look at it.
I was so enchanted with the video, that I devoured many more videos.
The protagonist is an important artist from Seville, painter and professor at the school of Fine Arts there.
If you watch the video, you will see that he has a personality that stands out, a style of his own and is very... how to say... striking.
When I studied drawing and painting, I did it for more than 11 years, it was privately and then I took exams at an academy. Honestly, we learned little about the personal life or the life in general of the painters. So I didn't know so much about them and in their works that personal life is often hidden.
Antonio García Villarán's channel surprised me, sincerely. First of all because of his presence and the way he explains, but he is also an artist, so in many of his videos you can see his own work.
This video where he tells a lot about Pablo Picasso, gave me a lot of information about him, I learned a lot, not only about his life but also about the meaning of what he painted.
Previously being in Malaga, Picasso's hometown, I went to his birth house and the museum that bears his name, but one thing is to see his work and another thing is to know about the person behind those works.
Listening to this channel gave me a very different vision of things, both because I didn't know a lot of history and information and because I was able to understand more about the works of art, the periods in which they were made and the reasons for many of them.
I also learned about the relationship between artists, many of them knew each other and took ideas from each other and the most important thing is to take into account the period of history in which the works were painted. It determined the styles, techniques and much more.
These periods are key, not only historically but also in their political environment, they have even determined the exile of many artists.
But the details of all this I have found in these videos, explained very well.
At the moment I saw this video, I learned a lot about the life of this particular painter, even if years later things about his personal life became known that were not good at all.
As it happens with many artists of different kinds, one thing is his life as a professional and another his personal life, which often leaves much to be desired.
Antonio García Villarán's videos are an easy, practical and enjoyable way to learn about art, the time flies by and you learn a lot, I think you even fall more in love with art.
Many times he explains technical issues of the works, he breaks them down in such a way that one wonders how one did not see certain details before.
And not only that, I have met paintings that I didn't even know existed.
This channel is a gateway to learning the whole history of art, which I didn't have, or only vaguely had.
Everybody thinks that Picasso only painted cubism, well no, he had many stages, all of them fabulous. Even if his personal life had a deep dark side.
Of course I recommend 100% this artist's channel, for those who like history and art. In my case I was delighted and learned a lot.
Today I enjoy Picasso's works in a different way, which I honestly didn't like so much before. Today I enjoy art in general in a different way and I am interested in the history behind it.
Did you know the artist, have you seen any videos from his channel, and what do you think of him?
Of course always happy to read the comments.
Thank you all very much, best regards and see you next time.
Amonet.

Espectacular tu post 👏🏽👏🏽
I literally devoured the videos, I liked it so much that I wanted to learn more and more. I think I like to learn about everything hahaha
Thank you so much Suge!💗
Muchas gracias Suge!💗
Strange 😃, a few years when people didn't go out on the street, how odd. Anyway, focusing on the video. You've made me curious enough to go over to Antonio Garcia Villaran's channel. Surely it won't start with Picasso 🤫.
I've always been interested in art within its context, and I agree with what you say about the relationship of the work and the life of the artists.
About the avant-gardes of the early 20th century (which still fascinate me) and the artists who starred in them, if you don't know the lives of the artists, their meetings, their publications, their debates, their loves and their philias and their commitments to the troubled era the they lived in, it is not possible to understand their art.
Good premiere Amonet, good post and good recommendation.
The idea of a review is not to tell what the video says, but precisely that, to tell the personal experience, in a simple everyday way, so that it awakens the interest of the person watching or reading and recommending that video.
It would be a review without spoilers hahaha.
Thank you very much @enraizar ✨
I am thinking a spoiler hooligan for this new born community, you tell me if it is not something appropriate or not appropriate to upload it here.
As long as it is within the rules of the community there is no limit to the topic... I had to look it up hahaha
I'll keep an eye out for the video you're going to review. I used my own pictures because I had them but you can use 2 or 3 screenshots of the video for example for the cover and the development. Just put in the source that they are stills from the video and if you edit them, with which tool.
Ok, gracias 😊
A very good channel, I have been following it for a while, because it shows us artistic history, and the truth is to understand the works you have to know the life behind the authors, just as happens with the great geniuses like Reveron and others, who a Once you understand the context in which they live, their art takes on an impressive force.
Great recommendation, he makes the videos light and animated, his language is pleasant in the videos I have seen, he gives a lot of information, and that makes it very interesting.
Grateful for this good review, very important by the way, I congratulate you.
I got to know your channel 4 years ago and I loved it! Just as you mention, it makes learning about art history very enjoyable. Thank you Manclar!!!
What I like about it is that it makes ordinary people connect with art in a simple way, that is a great added value, not many channels fail to do so, so that is something very interesting. I have visited other channels on art history and within 2 minutes of watching any video you get sleepy, people get bored, that doesn't happen with him, I guess that makes a difference, again, good recommendation Amonet.
Of course! It's the same for me! It is his personality and his way of being that attracts ordinary people, people who know nothing about art and those who know even more. Thanks to you!
No doubt the admiration you express for the artist and for art in general, the truth is that I have seen some of his works in videos but I know little about the person and it is good to know a little of what is behind it, I think I'll take a look.
I really like the channel in general, it talks about a lot of artists and I learn a lot. Thank you Monica!😃
Thanks for recommending this channel, I'll check it out. Everyone is different. Picasso's work will remain ‘the work’ no matter what kind of person he was... in fact this serves as a framework to understand him better on an artistic level.
He painted what he lived through his life and that's very interesting, but in general Antonio's channel is super cool! I love it! Thanks Nani!😃
This is your premiere here hehehehe.... well done.
Yes, that's right! Also important as an example of a written review... updating the rules and details hahaha
This is a great image with Picasso surrounded by his work.
That picture is great!
I am a little far from what is art and artists, maybe I contemplate them, but my knowledge about the artist is almost null 😂
Here we can see a fan of art haha you enjoy it and you are passionate about it, that is demonstrated in how you express yourself with it ❤️
It is impossible not to know who Picasso is, even if we know nothing or little about his life or art, we always learn something new. And of course, art is one thing and the artist's private life is another, in most cases one keeps one's art.
Exactly, I keep his art, the rest is his life, good or bad, nothing I can do, but I can enjoy his knowledge and learn. Thank you Yami!💗

Good morning dear friend @avdesing
What you tell us is very interesting, how good that you have studied and learned a lot about art and painting, but above all, Picasso's creations
Without a doubt it is wonderful to be able to understand and know the artist behind his works
Have a wonderful day
I didn't know much about it until I came across this channel a few years ago and I loved it. Thank you very much @jlufer 😃
It is admirable the knowledge you have in art and painting, how beautiful that you have visited the house of this renowned artist, Picasso's works are beautiful. Have a beautiful day @avdesing
Thank you so much @miprimerconcurso 😃
I know almost nothing about art, so is watching this content a good start to learning? So I have a little more culture hehe
They are entertaining and funny videos, the commentator is very strange hahaha.
Aquí estaremos reseñando videos interesantes, muchas gracias a vos Gloria!!😃
