Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

There is a dark side, one that belongs to another plane and there are very strange beings and human souls that do not have good energy.

A place of darkness where everything is black, where these beings feed on fear and which is accessed in dreams.

A place that has no eyes but only black holes, a place where the creepiest spiders come to life as humans, even though they are not.

Design process

The design is made with 7 images and 19 layers.

I used three images to form the background of the underworld. First the moon image of which I used the bottom part first. Then on top of it I put the image of the cave in two layers with fusions focal light and soft light and then again the image of the moon but the top part with strong light fusion.

Next I placed the image of the underworld only in one piece with focal light fusion and on top of it the two images of spider webs with lighten fusion.

Then I started to work on the monster images. In the case of the one with the complete body, I placed it in the centre in three layers, erasing part of the background and with lighten, raster and strong light fusions.

As that face didn't convince me, I looked for another one that did and I placed that other monster, his face on the previous image in two layers with focal light and darker colour fusions to intermingle with the previous one.

Finally, I wanted the face to look nice and scary so I zoomed those images on different layers. The first one in two layers with lighten and soft light blends and the second one in four layers with darker colour, soft light and normal blends, changing the colour of the eye contour in the last one to red.

In the middle of these layers place another underworld layer with soft light fusion to enhance colours.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Existe un lado oscuro, uno que pertenece a otro plano y allí hay seres muy extraños y almas humanas que no tienen buena energía.

Un lugar de tinieblas donde todo es negro, donde esos seres se alimentan del miedo y que se accede en sueños.

Un lugar que no tiene ojos sino solo huecos negros, un lugar donde las arañas más espeluznantes cobran vida como humanos, aunque no lo sean.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño está realizado con 7 imágenes y en 19 capas.

Usé tres imágenes para poder formar el fondo del inframundo. Primero la imagen de la luna de la cual utilicé primero la parte de abajo. Luego sobre ella puse la imagen de la cueva en dos capas con fusiones luz focal y luz suave y luego nuevamente la imagen de la luna, pero la parte de arriba con fusión luz fuerte.

Seguidamente coloqué la imagen del inframundo solo en un trozo con fusión luz focal y sobre ella las dos imágenes de telas de araña con fusión aclarar.

Luego comencé a trabajar las imágenes de los monstruos. En el caso del que tiene el cuerpo completo lo dispuse en el centro en tres capas borrando parte del fondo y con fusiones de aclarar, trama y luz fuerte.

Como ese rostro no me convencía busque otro que sí y coloque ese otro monstruo, su rostro sobre la imagen anterior en dos capas con fusiones luz focal y color más oscuro para entremezclar con el anterior.

Finalmente, quería que el rostro se vea bien y tenebroso por lo que acerqué esas imágenes en otras capas diferentes. La primera en dos capas con fusiones aclarar y luz suave y la segunda en cuatro capas con fusiones color más oscuro, luz suave y normal, cambiando el color del contorno de los ojos en la última a rojo.

En medio de esas capas coloque otra de inframundo con fusión de luz suave para realzar colores.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
