A renewed walk in a transformed environment.
Sometimes life transforms and so do the spaces through which life walks.
About three months ago perhaps a little longer one of the most beautiful promenades in the city was filled with machinery, it was fenced off and people could not pass through it.
Some might assume that there were pipes to be repaired or as in parts of the city there was going to be an extension of some metro line. It was all set for some modification and I felt a bit sorry for it because it is the coolest walk there is in this place.
A place where the trees embrace and you feel sheltered under them, from the embracing summer sun and feel the crispness of autumn on your feet.
For more than two and a half months I saw the transformation of this beautiful route, as well as many old buildings, such as the former Ink Palace, which are undergoing extensive renovation.
I saw the step-by-step laying of the ground, the new plants, the trees and above all the novelty of modern and very comfortable benches.
It is an ideal place to take a breath of fresh air, drink mate if you like, read a book or just relax.
This promenade is called Paseo Reding and although I have spoken about it before, now with the remodelling it is totally different, wider and more beautiful.
The beginning of the promenade already shows us its shade and freshness and I felt the difference between being or not in that place, the intense heat and the relief of being under the trees.
They renovated the place, as I was saying, they put plaques around the trees to decoratively contain pieces of trunk and they took advantage of those metal plates to make inscriptions about who Reding was.
In other cases they placed plants of various species, in many shades of green.
And along the route, on the side of the road, a large flower bed with various brightly coloured plants and flowers.
I really enjoyed this walk, as it was new, I was walking on new ground, the air felt different and very relaxing.
The businesses around me also looked renovated, even if they were the same.
I could see the old buildings across the street in a panorama that created beautiful postcards amongst the greenery.
These buildings are always hard to maintain, as they date far back in time and the facades need to be maintained.
Throughout the walk I enjoyed the well-appointed shade of the trees, as well as the shops that appeared on my right.
Each new corner offered a good place to take a photograph.
When we reached the second street of this walk we could see behind this kiosk and lottery place, the building I mentioned at the beginning, the old Palace of Ink, which was being remodelled from the foundations up, I suppose it had structural problems.
I always like to turn around and look at the road, the views are changing.
When I reach the next corner I see the big Hotel Miramar, a luxurious hotel overlooking this promenade and on the opposite side the Mediterranean Sea.
We can also see signs and this large street leading down to the sea.
The flower beds with plants were still beside me as I walked along.
As you will see all along the route the trees hug each other from one side to the other, forming a shady line with their leaves.
It is a very cool and relaxing walk and you can already feel the leaves rustling underfoot.
When the Reding promenade ends, it is followed by a single street called Avenida de Príes.
There is practically no shade there, only on one side of the street, but it is not so abundant.
There are many old buildings, restaurants, a pharmacy and many other places that were originally dwellings, but gradually became establishments of various kinds.
What stands out most in this street is the English Cemetery, where many times events are held, such as open-air concerts.
At the end of the street I see this large Italian restaurant, mainly dedicated to pizzas. I like the fact that it has open air spaces for eating and there is so much shade.
Beyond this street begins the Paseo de Sacha, which I have already told you about.
And today my walk ends in this beautiful shady spot just two streets away from the beach. The one that corresponds to this route is still the beach La Malagueta, the most important and touristic beach of the city, of which there will be no lack of opportunities to take a walk there.
Thank you all very much for joining me today. I send you all my best regards. See you next time.
Amonet.

Your post is beautiful and makes me remember my walks in that fascinating and cool country. I don't know how you will feel the summer, but I don't think it will beat this 365 days heat of Venezuela hahaha. Happy wednesday great friend...
I must bring a few of you!!! How do I do it! As soon as I win the lottery... plane travelling!
Just in this trip the summer does not exist, it is a delight.... no I do not want the constant heat of Venezuela hahaha

Thank you for the walk, I really liked the first photo with all the trees leaning as if they had been subjected to the wind
I love the shape of the trees and the way they intertwine. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much @qurator and @ewkaw!!😃
What nice pictures the ink palace intrigues me too much the hotel is splendid I can imagine how nice and luxurious it will be inside.
I really want to know how it looks like or what they will do with the ink palace, it is the old printing press of the city!!!! Thank you very much Monica!💗
What a great place, and it's nice that you're now able to walk through it now that the machinery is gone. I liked the "peluqueria" building that looks like a postcard. Whomever designed it, knows what they're doing. You can tell that they know about composition, type, spacing, grouping, and other elements of graphic design.
It really is, a place that you can tell is not new and has been working there for years, I love it! Thank you!💗
How beautiful the walkway has become and with new plants that add colour to it. It is true that it feels fresh because of the number of trees there. I love that you take us by the hand through the streets of your city.
Thank you, Amonet.
And I love walking around the city taking pictures! It's already a great hobby for me! Thank you!!!😃
Beautiful photos, very descriptive of the city in them. Trees are the lungs of a city. And what to say about the flowers give a beautiful and nice touch. Thank you @avdesing for giving us that walk. A hug.🤗❤️
It was a great renovation of the promenade and very enjoyable! Thank you very much!💗
