Crochet covers for mugs (EN-ES)
Greetings, my dear friends of this beautiful and creative community of the needles, I hope you are very well, with health and wellness. May this be a very productive and successful week.
This Monday of yarns and needles I am very happy because I was knitting during the weekend to share with you my new knitting project.
As I told you in a previous post, I bought some beautiful yarns with the illusion of starting to knit sunflowers to make the bouquets that I want to sell for the day of love and friendship that is celebrated in this country during the month of September. However, I decided to momentarily postpone this project when I discovered, through YouTube videos, some lovely mug covers that I am excited to show you today.

Este lunes de hilos y agujas vengo muy contenta porque estuve tejiendo el fin de semana para compartir con ustedes mi nuevo proyecto de tejido.
Como les había comentado en una publicación anterior, compré unos hermosos hilos con la ilusión de comenzar a tejer girasoles para confeccionar los ramos que quiero vender para el día del amor y la amistad que se celebra en este país durante el mes de septiembre. Sin embargo, decidí postergar momentáneamente este proyecto al descubrir, a través de videos en YouTube, unas encantadoras fundas para tazas que estoy emocionada por mostrarles hoy.

I fell in love with these mug covers from the first moment I saw them. And since the design is simple and can be knitted quickly, I decided to get to work right away. At first, I planned to knit just one cover for the mug I have at home, but when I saw how beautiful it looked, I couldn't resist the desire to continue knitting. That's how I managed to knit these three beautiful covers, combining the colors of the yarns I have on hand.
Me enamoré de estas fundas para tazas desde el primer momento que las vi. Y como el diseño es sencillo y se puede tejer rápido, decidí ponerme manos a la obra de inmediato. Al principio, planeaba tejer una sola funda para la taza que tengo en casa, pero al ver lo hermosa que quedó, no me pude resistir al deseo de seguir tejiendo. Así fue como logré tejer estas tres hermosas fundas, combinando los colores de los hilos que tengo a mano.

To knit these covers for my mug I used acrylic yarn and a 3.0mm needle. The first thing to do is to measure the circumference of the mug to take this measurement into account and calculate the base chain stitches.
In the case of my cup the measurement is 26cm. To reach this measurement I had to knit chain stitches up to an odd number. I knit 55 chains and one more as indicated in the video. The pattern of this knitting is a single crochet and a double crochet in the first stitch, then skip a chain and in the next one knit single crochet and double crochet in the same stitch and so on. To see it better, I left you the video where it is perfectly explained.
Para tejer estas fundas para mi taza usé hilo acrílico y una aguja de 3.0mm. Lo primero que debemos hacer es medir la circunferencia de la taza para tener en cuenta esta medida y calcular las cadenetas de base.
En el caso de mi taza la medida es de 26cm. Para alcanzar esta medida debía tejer cadenetas hasta un número impar. Tejí 55 cadenas y una más como se indicaba en el vídeo. El patrón de este tejido es un punto bajo y un punto alto en el primer punto, luego saltar una cadena y en la siguiente tejer punto bajo y punto alto en el mismo punto y así sucesivamente. Para verlo mejor, les dejé el vídeo donde se explica perfecto.
I loved the result and now I have to buy more mugs to show off the three covers at home. I also want to buy more yarns, lots of colorful yarns and cups to knit covers and sell them with the mug included.
I leave you the pictures and I want to invite my dear @dulce.crucita to knit these covers and add them to her stock of fabrics, I am sure she will sell a lot of them.
