Its stems are rather prostrate, cylindrical, smooth, fleshy, greenish or green-purple in color. Its size does not exceed 20 centimeters in height, with a tendency to creeping and hanging growth.

Bueno amigos, hoy les hablare un poco de esta planta, comunmente llamada Bella las 11 o Portulaca, es una planta ornamental temporal cultivada por el color de las flores que florecen sin cesar durante la epoca calida. Esta planta también es apreciada por su rápido crecimiento. Podemos plantarla en macetas y parterres poco profundos, ya que crece bien en ellos. Sus tallos son más bien postrados, cilíndricos, lisos, carnosos, de color verdoso o verde-morado. Su tamaño no supera los 20 centímetros de altura, con tendencia al crecimiento rastrero y colgante.
