My first vacation experience

Vacation is a time to relax and unwind, to relieve the previous stress And be rejuvenated for the coming season. Every child loves vacation including adults who needs to relax and have some fun after a whole year.

We don't usually go on vacation in my house. We travel for very important events, I mean 'very important' what happens is that, my cousins and aunties usually come over to our place for vacation. so, it's usually Fun during that time in our home. The house is filled with relatives and I enjoy things that I normally don't enjoy from my parents before then. When my cousins are around, my parents take us out to the zoo, park or the museum.

When I was in 100L in the university, I asked my parents for permission to go to my aunt's place, for the vacation because I didn't want to go home. I wanted to avoid all the chores and the stress of being at home and I wanted to see my cousins because it's been awhile. My parents permitted me and I went to my aunt's house at Ipetu ijesha in Osun state, Nigeria. I choose that place because my cousins have told me a lot about their town and my aunt was the best, I loved her more than any other aunty or uncle.

I and my Aunt kept communicating until I got to the bus stop and my uncle came to pick me.
I was welcomed with rice and chicken sauce.
I was so happy to see everyone. We saw a movie and went to bed.
The next day was a Sunday morning, we all prepared for church and left at about 7:00am. The church was a cathedral. I had never entered into such a big auditorium before. My cousins introduced me to some of their friends and they promised to come say hi to me before I leave.

When we got back home,I had the opportunity to see the compound. My cousin, Jay showed me round, it was a really large compound and they also have a garden where they plant few crops. The garden was fenced separately from the compound we went in through the small gate that leads in. In the garden, there is a mango tree, orange tree, pawpaw trees and a walnut tree. We plucked two ripe pawpaw and went in for brunch but my aunt was still busy in the kitchen. I tried to help but she told me that I was a guest, That I shouldn't bother. Lola peeled the pawpaw and we all eat before the food was ready. The table was already set before they called us in. I enjoyed the pounded yam and melon soup.

My aunt's husband took us to the erin-ijesha water falls the next Saturday, I was wowed! The site was so beautiful. My cousins had told me about it but I thought they were exaggerating.

The water falls from the seventh step, we climbed the second and third but I was too exhausted to climb further. We could swim in the third step. We played and took pictures before we left. I had fun like never before.

There was a festival going on during that time and towards the end of the celebration, everyone had to garther at the square with their best dresses. Different Masquerades danced and there was a lot of eating and drinking. My cousins friends that promised to come visiting used the opportunity to also boast about their town and the fun things to do around. They took me round town and we had a lot of fun playing games.

Few days before I returned, my aunt took me to the market and bought a lot of things for me. She asked me to pick some tops and skirts and she bought me a very beautiful brown leather shoes. We also got some food stuff and provisions. I was so happy. The most exciting part of the shopping was that I had to pick what I wanted.
I was so happy that I made the decision to visit them.

I felt sad on the day I was to return to school, but my aunt told me I could visit them anytime I want to. She gave me some money and they all drove me to the park. My uncle gave me more money when we got to the park and I boarded a bus back to school.
