A Time To Sow And A Time To Reap
Hello, friends and lovers.
It has been a minute since I clocked into this money community of ours. It has been a busy year for me and - this is not me complaining. I asked for it. I went and got myself a job. I started this year on a bright note - I went and spent time with my family, moved houses, and landed myself a job. There were a few hassles in between like the stress that came with my trip, and the rabbit hole that is house hunting which I sort of threw myself into till I gave up and settled. But, all that is forgotten now.
Top of what I'm feeling is an unwavering sense of peace. I feel grounded and safe. The feeling of safety has always been a little touch and go for me. Last year was rough, not just for me but for the entire universe. We are gently making our way to healing and replenishing. I can feel it. It will be a long road given the financial turbulence the past year had us in. This is me manifesting for all of us and keeping a positive outlook because the seasons will align and the earth will heal itself.-
- WHAT DID I MISS?
A lot, I imagine. I am going to spend the next few days catching up and reading up. I have missed #leothreads, and I have missed looking forward to the weekly engagement ranking. I have also missed reading updates on the projects, progress, and advancement of the community. Most importantly, I have missed the impactful content shared daily on this platform. I enjoy writing in this community and not being able to do that has not been fun. My activity on hive generally has been shaken, I just do my best to show up now and then.
- HOW ON EARTH AM I GONNA FIND A BALANCE?
I am wondering how I'm going to find a balance between work and creating content here as I used to and I honestly have no idea. But, I imagine it is doable. I work from 9:30 to 5 pm on Tuesdays to Fridays. It is supposed to be a regular 9-5 but I negotiated with my boss to let me come in at 9:30 because this is a big adjustment for me. I also don't work on Mondays, yay!
At work, I am in a paid internship program as a copywriter. Though; my boss is trying to do that thing where they have you juggle a bunch of different other tasks however, I am sticking to what's on paper. Bending over backward is not quite my style. I strive to be efficient and good at my designated tasks, nothing more. Unless of course, I am getting paid more for the extras.
My working environment is cool, my boss is cool. I am excited about the impact this working opportunity will have on me. In all honesty, my excitement is gradually facing a decline because the whole idea of waking up every day and going somewhere is no fun. I wish I were a trust fund baby, so I can live my days working to dethrone capitalism from my Instagram feed.
Anyways, it has been great and I look forward to making more contributions to this and other organizations in a much more impactful way. This is a step I'm grateful for. It has given me a sense of stability and responsibility and, I believe I'm headed in the right direction. However, my dream internship role would be in product management as it has - always been my dream to become a product manager. But, becoming well-versed in the art of technical writing is also a skill I would love.
- WHAT'S NEXT FOR SUGAR?
Well, I've got a few projects I'm running at the time and each moving at a healthy pace. I don't fare well with pressure, so no matter how much I'm doing, I like to do it with grace and consideration for myself as a fragile human being. I've got my internship, my e-fashion commerce, and my website I'm setting up to bring better publicity to myself and my work. And of course - Hive.
I also have a couple of other projects to roll out later next month. It's all coming together and I am always enthusiastic about everything I do or want to do. It is after all the Aquarius season, which is a time for the newness of ideas, strong innovation, and intuitive spirit. One that instills a strong sense of self and individuality. I understand why I'm pumped and I'm taking advantage. It is my season too, cause I'm an Aquarius and my birthday is a few weeks away - February 16th. Funzies.
- WHAT ARE MY EXPECTATIONS?
This is a great financial year for me and everyone else who believes so. With ideas being sown, plans being made, and effort being applied, things can only work for the better. I have lots of expectations this year, healthy and practical expectations. I know I'll achieve my financial goals for the year and other goals because I am putting myself to work and applying the needed pressure.
I hope to attain a reasonable level of financial stability this year. My work and efforts are one thing, but there are a bunch of other factors that influence these things. Hence, why my goal is to place myself in a safe bracket where these factors won't knock me to the ground when they hit.
We have the presidential elections coming up. It is a sensitive situation because whether we heal as a country or head toward our final destination of ruin and penury depends on it. The economic situation in Nigeria is a sad tale and there seems to be a faint silver lining somewhere in the grey skies; if PO wins.
It is one thing to work hard to make your dreams come true and another thing to work hard under a system with sustainable working policies to make room for your seeds to sprout. It is my expectation, that all the citizens and powers that reside in this country join forces to pull us out of the darkness that is the current administration.
I am excited to be back. Thank you all for keeping the fire burning.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week! ❤️

Congratulations on the productive and rewarding year you've been having! May peace and comfort come along to join you and your rewards.
Using LeoThreads can be like going down a rabbit hole: before you know it, a lot of time has passed and you have no idea how or where it went. I would suggest doing all other Hive/Leo-related activity first before you catch up on LeoThreads.
Once you get back into the swing of things here, then you can go back to what you were doing with LeoThreads. While you're catching up, make it the last of the activities.

Thank you so much for your kind words and warm welcome. I appreciate your suggestions on how I could pace myself to ease back in.
Hahaha. Good to know Leothreads still got its hold on you and others.
Happy new month/hpud.

Happy February to you as well. I'll leave HPUD to everyone else. At least for now, LPUD is more in my range. For Hive, I'll do HPUM the old-fashioned way: daily posts at LikeTu set for 100% HP payout each time.

That sounds great. I too will not be participating, given my inactivity for the time being.
HPUM sounds cool; might consider that too.
Have a lovely day. It’s 7:11 am here, btw.

We have 6 hours between us, then. It's @ 1:20am here.
When you do HPUM, 100% HP post payout is vital for each post. Do even one post at 50/50 and you kill your chance at the HPUM badge.

Okay... How does this work? Is there a specific number of posts I have to do this with? And, can I do it at any time of the month?
