A Day in the Life of a Culinary Dynamo

IMG_6713.png

If Someone told me in 2018 that I would do as much cooking as I do now, I would simply laugh them off. I spend a lot of my time cooking these days, and it just happens that I am very good at it. While I love cooking and being able to think of a recipe and bring it to life in the kitchen, I still don't quite enjoy doing it. I don't hate it, but I would so not do it if I don't have to. I just happen to be at a point where I can't eat out much, not just because it is a better financial decision, but also because I have trust issues with certain things, especially with things I put into my body.

I have learned that I like being in control of what I eat, hence why I cook a lot. I have heard some people who enjoy cooking say they love cooking for people as a love language, but I couldn't care less about cooking for others. I just want to eat and be happy.

Here is everything I cooked in a day:

PUMPKIN

It was my first eating orange pumpkins. I remember back when I was a kid in the village, I ate a lot pumpkins but they were the green ones. I only ever saw the orange ones in the movies. They taste pretty much the same.
I served this with a some left over leafy veggies sauce. This I considered pre-breakfast.

PLANTAINS

For breakfast proper, I had plantains and eggs. These days I find myself Air frying my plantains as opposed to frying them in oil. I like it better this way because less fat. I added a little bit garlic and blended scotch bennet peppers to my eggs.

SPAGHETTI

For lunch, I whipped up this super delish spag and chicken. I like to add my veggies when the spag is pretty much done, cover for about one minute then take down. That way I don't overcook the veggies. Yeah, that's it.

Thanks for stopping by. ♥️

Hi @atyourservice

Hi @
