Legendary Kwetiaw Seafood Halal In My Town, Pak Tiam Seafood
Are you familiar with Chinese food and noodles? I think all members of the ASEAN Hive Community are very familiar with this culinary. Almost all people who live in Southeast Asia like noodles and various processed dishes. For us, noodles may already run in our soul and blood. Every culture and place has its own signature noodle dish, however, one of the most delicious popular noodle dishes we can often find in Chinese restaurants or China Towns.
Some time ago, I was invited by my husband to look for delicious and halal Chinese food in my city. He recommended a noodle restaurant that is very well known for its delicious and authentic taste. The Chinese restaurant is named Pak Tiam Seafood, which is located on Sentosa Baru Street, Medan Perjuangan District - Medan City. The Sentosa Baru Street area is indeed famous for its many Chinese-style restaurants or restaurants that sell noodle dishes.
The location of the road is rather narrow and the car parking space is very limited. Therefore, to deal with traffic jams, Pak Tiam Seafood is open from 3 pm to 11 pm to reduce the crowds on this road in the morning and afternoon. My husband had a little trouble finding the ideal parking location when it came to this place.
This Pak Tiam Seafood outlet is very simple. The building used is like a small shophouse on display. The front of the outlet is a glass display case which also serves to put food ingredients such as vegetables, noodles, meat, spices etc. Then, at the front of the outlet also functions as a kitchen. We can see the "attractions" of the chef while cooking various menus from Pak Tiam Seafood.
I've been to several countries and cities in Southeast Asia, and noticed that the concept of Chinese businesses and restaurants is almost the same whether it's in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok or Medan – Indonesia. One shophouse building, which is narrow and elongated. Loaksi is located on a street that is not too wide, but the restaurant looks template, classic but makes you miss.
There are only four food menus at this restaurant, namely seafood fried rice, seafood kwetiau, seafood ifumie, and seafood vermicelli. Everything is fried using this special seasoning from Pak Tiam Seafood. A few tips when we want to order, all of this food is cooked after we order the menu and this restaurant only uses one skillet and one chef. So, if we come two or three with three different menus, it will definitely take longer. Because each food menu will be cooked one by one.
My husband recommended Kwetiau Goreng Seafood to me. I ordered it, and for the drink I was interested in trying Somboy Juice, a favorite drink from this Chinese restaurant.
Due to the restaurant's less crowded situation, our orders were served faster. My husband said, if it's evening and online food orders also come in, our orders must also take a long time to arrive to our table. In addition, we both ordered only one type of dish.
I can't wait to taste this seafood fried kwetiau. From the looks of it, it's very delicious. My heart is pounding, I'm afraid if it's too good, I'll ask my husband to come here every time and he will definitely nag me.
This Seafood Fried Kwetiau from Pak Tiam Seafood has a taste that exceeds my expectations. The taste is very delicious, authentic taste, and the blend of spices is perfect for my taste. I feel like I'm eating in a five star Chinese restaurant, I really like this dish in terms of taste, texture and whatever.
I was actually surprised by this serving of seafood fried kwetiau, it looks like a lot and I rarely see one dish served with this much. But, believe me I spent it all. The taste of this Seafood Fried Kwetiau is even more perfect because Pak Tiam Seafood uses a lot of toppings and is not stingy. We can taste everything, from fish balls, prawns, squid, tomatoes, vegetables etc.
This food is even more delicious to eat because it gets a drink that is also right. The Somboy juice I ordered has a refreshing orange look. The taste is also very unique, sweet and sour like somboy.
If you don't know, somboi is a type of snack like candied fruit from China, the process of making it through the process of drying the fruit and then coating it with salt and sugar, so it has a sour but refreshing taste. Just like somboi, this drink is no less exciting and has become the trademark drink of this Chinese restaurant. We enjoyed every moment of taste and experience from the culinary visit to Pak Tiam Seafood. It seems, I want to come here again every week.
See you the next time hive friends!
