Leisurely strolls around Warsaw - the Baths Palace in Łazienki Park.

Łazienki Park is one of the most visited places in Warsaw, and I'm sure you can find many photos and stories from this green oasis on Hive. The park is full of historical attractions; you can come across mansions, villas, gardens, sculptures, theaters, e.t.c. I was in Warsaw for a short time, and I spent only about two hours in the park before returning to Krakow. I felt a considerable dissatisfaction, and I promised myself that I would start my next visit to Warsaw from this place.

In the Middle Ages, there was a menagerie here, in which Mazovian magnates organized hunting. In the 17th century, the then-owner built a bathhouse here, hence the park's name - Royal Baths Park. The bathhouse was rebuilt at the end of the 18th century and became a classicist Palace on the Water.

Picturesquely situated on an artificial island, the palace became the summer residence of the last king of Poland, Stanisław August. Courtiers in rich clothes and wigs strolled between its slender columns 😉

During WWII, the palace was badly damaged, as was the whole city. A lot of effort was put into its reconstruction and restoration of the interior to its former glory. Of course, I also didn't have time to explore the interior that day ;) But I was delighted that I spent the last hours in Warsaw in the park, not in the shopping center next to the train station.

The place seemed a little deserted, but in fact, there were a lot of tourists and walkers. I had to wait a long time for a good shot.

You definitely shouldn't rush anywhere while walking the Łazienki Park 🙂

Dear @astinmin, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
