Collecting view towers - in the land of northern wetlands

If you want to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the vast Biebrza and Narew backwaters, you need a little help. Not many hills here would allow you to admire the area from above, which is why the local landscape parks are full of observation towers. You can count at least a few of them during the day when traveling actively. If you get up very early, there is a chance that you will see elks, deer, and other animals that willingly leave the forest at dawn. If you are a sleeper, you are left with "only" beautiful views ;)

Unfortunately, I couldn't mobilize enough to observe the wild animals, but I was still delighted. I love to look at the Biebrza and Narew backwaters, rich in vegetation. In summer, they are so overgrown that they look like huge meadows. I would love to come here in early spring to see the true face of the rivers.

Today I want to show you photos taken from three observation towers in the Narew and Biebrza landscape parks. Of course, there were many more, but documenting each of them would be tiring;) The landscapes seem monotonous and devoid of drama, but that's what I like. I rest in such places. And my eyes too :)

So... Welcome to the land of untouched wetlands again :)

On the Narew River. The large and modern lookout tower is an exception here. Most of the local towers are made of wood.

Wait a minute... where's the river?

What you can see are only small arms of the multichannel river. Everything is covered with a thick carpet of aquatic vegetation.

On the Biebrza River. People enjoy the benefits of fertile soil in this place, but most of the area directly by the river stays wild.

At Narew again - don't be fooled by the charm of these beautiful meadows - they would drag you into the swamps;)

Until I buy a drone, the observation towers are the only way to get better views here. But that's enough for me :)
