Origami Spiders, How to Fold them

avatar

Hello Everyone!
Today I make two origami spiders. I have folded other spider shapes before, but I think this one looks more like the real thing. But folding paper method for them is more difficult and there are many steps. I make blue and orange spiders but I think it will be nicer if they are made with black or brown paper. There are step-by-step pictures and write with texts on how to make them.

In the first step, the paper is cut by equal length and width with 21cm. Fold the paper in half and fold the two sides to the middle line. Fold the other side in the same way. The next step is to fold the paper in half two times. Fold the four corners to the folding lines from the other sides. Gather and fold the square shape folding lines from the middle as shown. Fold the left and right edges inward. Fold the bottom edges up and fold them back down. Spread the four edges as shown. In this step, these areas must be spread step by step.

Spread it as a square shape and gather the two opposite edges to the middle. Fold both sides from the inside as shown. Make the other side in the same way. Fold the edges of the other two surfaces to top and fold them back again. For the head, fold both sides as shown in the picture and fold a little the edge from the middle as well. Push the two sides to the middle again.

In this step, fold the top paper edge down and fold one edge inward. Fold the other edges in the same way. For the tail, the paper edge should be spread as shown. Bend the paper edges to top and bottom for the legs and arms.

Another spider is orange color.

After making them, I really like them. I also take beautiful pictures. Thank you so much for your reading my post to the end.
