Played Out
"Spit it out!" Detective Fort yelled at Mead, at the same time sending out a dashing punch towards Mead's face. The impact was so great that it sent two teeth prematurely checking out of his gum.
"You and your dead colleague duped the foreign man out of a fortune. Four estates and an eight cars strong fleet is no roadside pick. You can't come by such vast fortune even if you work honestly for your whole damn life, twice over!" Sergeant Oak said between clinched teeth.
"So, you better speak up or you may not have any castenet left up your horse-like gum to chew even a blade of grass!" Detective Fort threatened.
Mead eventually agreed to speak only with the detective present.
"Hello Sir"
Lu"Yes Oak. Have you found the documents?" Fort asked. His voice had a touch of impatience in it.
"Yes sir. But we have a situation".
"And what is that. Speak up!"Sir, the documents he led us to are empty".
"What do you mean empty?" Detective Fort yelled into the receiver.
"Empty Sir. Plain white sheets! As clear as the noon time sky without a cloud only the papers are white not blue!" Sergeant Oak replied.
"Shit!"
"Sir, I think it's time we go super hard and rough on him. Let him know we ain't kidding!"
"We are done for Oak. We 've been played out!"
"What do you mean sir?"
"He 's no longer here".
"What! He escaped?"
"No Sergeant! I let him go!" Detective Fort sighed.
"Oh goodness!" Sergeant Oak muttered.
Can you imagine that in current times that happens?
