Analogy And Purpose Of Life According to Religion
Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog.
Disclaimer:
This post has religious Aspects about the Purpose of Life. If you don't like then you can simply skip this. Thanks!
There are different schools of thought about life. Different definitions of it are available in the books of Philosophy, Religions, Science, and Humanity.
According to Science,
Life is the combination of Characteristics that differentiate between living and non-living things
According to Philosophy,
Philosophical Definitions of life vary according to Existentialist Perspective, Vitalism, Absurdism, And Materialism
According to Religions,
Life is a big blessing by Divine Creation with a set of responsibilities, purposes, and potential for transcending relationships
Each definition of life revolves around specific purposes. There is nothing that is created useless.
Purpose Of Life
Everything created in this universe whether it is a living thing or a non-living thing, has specific purposes. Even Robots and Machines generated by Humans have also specific purposes. Humans are the best creation in this Universe; how can they created without a purpose? Being a Muslim, I believe in One God Who Stated,
"I was hidden Treasurer, I decided to be known hence I created man"
Yes, there is a divine power who created us. It is strange to say and believe in ABiogenesis for me. I believe in the Holy Quran Where God has clearly stated our purpose in life,
" And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."
~ Surah Surah Adh-Dhariyat Verses(51:56)
Another Place, God Stated in Holy Quran,
"[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed."
~ Surah Al-Mulk Verses(67:2)
Yes, God has created us for His worship, to test our deeds, and to make us His Steward(Khalifah) in this universe. Our Purpose in life is clear now. It depends on us either we follow it, or we deviate from it. It is better if we follow the real aim of life to get His Mercy. We can't run away from what we have created. He has drawn a boundary between life and its purpose. We earn money to live better on this earth. But it is not our purpose. This world is like an exam center for us. We have given a specific duration. God has given the question sheet in our hands. We are here to find answers about it. We should do good deeds. We should love humanity. We should follow God's instructions regarding each and everything.
Final Thoughts
When a man opens his eyes in this Universe, he tries to learn from his environment. He tries to know the purpose of life until he becomes young. After Adulthood, he becomes mature and has known a lot about the purpose of life. Now it depends on him whether he takes the right path or goes for the wrong path. His deeds will evaluate his performance on the day of Judgement. If we are still unknown, we should know our purpose in life; otherwise, it will be difficult to face God on the day of Judgement.

I enjoyed reading your post especially as it dwells on religion and spiritual meaning. Our purpose is to worship God through our love for humanity, helping others when they need help and most importantly, to be intentional about our living, knowing there is a duration for each individual.
