A short unwind to refresh my mind

Hello everyone. I hope everybody's doing well as I walk down the road because today is my rest day. I can see the street hits differently. It looks alive, and there are a lot of Christmas lights everywhere that are waving at me, inviting me to come and dance with its glow.

As I came closer, I felt the joy of the dancing lights, and memories filled my heart. In my childhood days, once beer months kicked in, all we (me and my siblings) could think about was Christmas: Santa Claus was coming to give us Christmas presents. We always hang a pair of socks near the door; as the old folks said, Santa would see it if he passed through, but many Christmases have passed, and our wish has never been granted. I was always left wondering where could Santa go that he missed our house. My father always has an explanation ready. It's either that Santa lost his way and never found it through, or he was robbed on his way to deliver our presents.

As I was standing at the lights dancing in front of me. I feel the spirit of Christmas approaching. When I entered the shopping mall, as usual, it was so crowded. People gathered at every corner, and everywhere had Christmas decorations, lights, and Christmas tree.

When I go inside the shop., I overheard some ladies choosing their Christmas gifts for their Christmas party. We're also planning to have our gifts exchanged. Friends and I, if our schedule/off day meets, I enjoy window shopping. I looked through items that caught my eye and met some friends. Eat dinner together, chitchat, talk about each other's lives, and again, endless stories about each experience for the whole week.
After we bid goodbyes, each of us has our curfews, and we must be home before it. As I was heading home again, I passed through the dancing lights.

My mind again traveled its way back home. After a while, they would be busy setting up a small Christmas tree and decorating our house with Christmas lights and lanterns. A few days before Christmas, everybody would be busy buying gifts and preparing a menu to cook for the Noche Buena. If birthdays there should be a menu for long life, Christmas should have something sweet, like cakes or pastries, to represent and maintain our sweetness with one another. That's how superstitious our ancestors were.

As I was getting closer to our home, Santa crossed my mind. would he finally find his way to my door this time to give me my Christmas presents? What do you think, guys? Please share your thoughts😌☺️☺️

The streets look so beautiful with the lights at this time of the year. I love to take a walk to look at them.
Let's hope Santa in any form;) will finally stop by your door this year. Cheers!

Do you know what Santa asks before he brings a present?
Were we good all year?
I don't even expect presents from Santa this year, I wasn't obedient at all 😀
