[PL / ENG] Lędziny i Bieruń My Actifit Report Card: January 6 2024

Obowiązki świeżo upieczonych inwestorów rzuciły nas dziś do Lędzin, a stamtąd już tylko kamieniem rzucił do Bierunia, więc zerknęliśmy tu i tam przy okazji. I muszę powiedzieć, że pomimo niezwykle ponurej, zimnej i deszczowej aury, a także pomimo tego, że wszystko w tych mieścinach było zamknięte, to i tak mi się bardzo podobało. Bomblowi też. My jednak lubimy podróże małe i duże. Lubię spacerować po obcych mieścinach z moim aparatem w kieszeni, lubię oglądać nowe miejsca, robić im zdjęcia, a potem to publikować.

Today, the duties of new investors took us to Lędziny, and from there it was just a stone's throw to Bieruń, so we took a look here and there. And I must say that despite the extremely gloomy, cold and rainy weather, and even though everything in these towns was closed, I still liked it very much. Bombl too. However, we like small and large trips. I like walking around foreign towns with my camera in my pocket, I like seeing new places, taking photos of them and then publishing them.

Lędziny

Zwiedzanie małych mieścin ma tą wspaniałą zaletę, że możesz wjechać autem niemal gdzie chcesz i spokojnie znajdziesz darmowe miejsce parkingowe. Wiąże się to zwykle z przykrością w postaci aut na zdjęciach - ale mało która mała mieścina decyduje się na zrobienie stref bez samochodu (a szkoda, bo to w sumie zawsze zaleta).
W przypadku Lędzin obeszło się bez problemów, bo do zwiedzania wybraliśmy malutki Placyk Farski. Stanęliśmy po drugiej stronie ulicy, na wprost kościelnej wieży.

Visiting small towns has the great advantage that you can drive your car almost anywhere you want and easily find a free parking space. This is usually associated with the unpleasantness of cars in the photos - but few small towns decide to create car-free zones (which is a pity, because it is always an advantage).
In the case of Lędziny, there were no problems because we chose the tiny Parish Square to explore. We stood on the other side of the street, in front of the church tower.

Plac Farski został niedawno wyremontowany, prowadzi do niego odnowiona, zabytkowa brama.

Parish Square has recently been renovated and is accessed by a renovated historic gate.

Za bramą wita nas odnowiona stara plebania.

Behind the gate, we are greeted by a renovated old vicarage.

Dalej jest ładny komercyjny placyk, ale oczywiście - w święto sześciu króli wszystko zamknięte na głucho.

Next, there is a nice commercial square, but of course - on Six Kings Day, everything is closed.

Obeszliśmy mały kwartalik dokoła, wyszliśmy koło kościoła i wróciliśmy do auta, bo na dalsze spacery było zbyt zimno i mokro, a nie było gdzie wejść.

We walked around the small quarter, left near the church and returned to the car, because it was too cold and wet for further walks and there was nowhere to go in.

Jedynym otwartym przybytkiem był Browarek, lokalny sklep, świadczący wedle afiszu usługi wynajmu sprzętu sportowego, i z tego tytułu zapewne otwarty w ten świąteczny dzień. Odwiedziło go kilku amatorów, wprawdzie nie rowerów, nart, czy zestawów do squasha, a raczej płynnych zawartości w brzdękających butelkach. Nazwa zobowiązuje. Ja się wcale nie czepiam - akurat ja stoję na stanowisku, że w święta i niedziele coś tam poza stacjami benzynowymi powinno być otwarte ;)

The only open place was Browarek, a local shop that, according to its poster, provides sports equipment rental services, and therefore it was probably open on this holiday day. It was visited by several enthusiasts, not of bicycles, skis or squash sets, but rather of liquid contents in clinking bottles. The name obliges (Browarek = Little Beer). I'm not complaining at all - I'm of the opinion that something other than gas stations should be open on holidays and Sundays ;)

Bieruń

Sześć minut jazdy autem i jesteśmy na samym rynku w Bieruniu. Tu sytuacja podobna. Stanęliśmy autem na samym rynku, na parkingu bezpłatnym w weekendy. A przy tym druga część rynku była wyłączona z parkingu, więc można było zrobić ujęcie bez aut.

A six-minute drive and we are right at the market square in Bieruń. A similar situation here. We parked our car right on the market square, in a free parking lot on weekends. And the second part of the market square was closed to the parking lot, so you could take a shot without cars.

Świąteczne dekoracje nie były przytłaczające - ot, choinka i jedna bombka, do której można było sobie wejść, a w środku przynajmniej nie siąpił deszcz. A dookoła ładne kolorowe kamieniczki.

The Christmas decorations weren't overwhelming - just a Christmas tree and one bauble you could climb inside, and at least it wasn't raining inside. And all around there are nice, colorful tenement houses.

Oczywiście z lokalami usługowymi.

Była też jedna kawiarnia, która wzbudziła moją nadzieję, ale niestety. Ciemno i głucho. No, wszak dziś sześciu króli, pomyślałam sobie. Ale niestety, po bliższej inspekcji okazało się, że kawiarenka ta jest nieczynna aż do wiosny! Ahh. Szkoda. Czyli w tygodniu też nie ma co mieć nadziei.

There was also one cafe that got my hopes up, but unfortunately. Dark and deaf. Well, there are six kings today, I thought to myself. But unfortunately, upon closer inspection, it turned out that this cafe is closed until spring! Ahhhh. Pity. So there's nothing to hope for a weekday either.

No ale co tam, i tak jest ładnie, kolorowo, a do auta na szczęście blisko, więc nawet człowiek za bardzo nie wymarzł, bo nie zdążył.

But whatever, it's still nice and colorful, and luckily it's close to the car, so even you didn't get too cold because you didn't have time.

Przeszliśmy też uliczkę dookoła, ale tam w sumie nie było już nic ciekawego. Pora było więc zabierać się do domu. I mimo, że niby nic - tak czy siak, miło było obejrzeć jakieś nowe miejsce!

We also walked around the street, but there was nothing interesting there. So it was time to go home. And even though it seemed like nothing - anyway, it was nice to see some new place!
