The Antique Treasures of an Iranian Haram Shop (A Photographic Tour)
These are the last images of the Haram shop that I lost and finally found on my mobile memory. I promised my friends that I would publish the following album from this shop, which includes many antique and pricey stuff. When I first entered this Haram shop, I had a strong feeling that I had never seen anything like it before.
IRANIAN ANTIQUE AND EXPENSIVE ITEMS
This is also due to the fact that these are Iranian stuff, while I am more familiar with Pakistani items. Their things look more lovely and appealing to me, therefore I stayed in the shop for more than an hour. You may have also experienced that if you like the shop and its products, you may spend so much time that you are unaware of how much time you have spent.
The same thing happened to me, as I spent an hour in this small boutique with many wonderful products for sale as well as giving as gifts. It was quite difficult for me to photograph shop things because there is almost no authorization to photograph items in Iran shops or within the many shrines.
Those who have travelled to Iran on pilgrimage are more aware of how difficult it is to take photographs there. However, I believe it is essential to photograph these items, so I specifically requested permission from the shop owner to photograph them. He was not agreeable, but due to my persistence, he agreed, but just for a short time, which was fine with me.
One of the reasons they won't allow photography is a fear of robbery. Many expensive items are available, including gold-plated Duas, silver rings, gold-coated bags, gold frames, silver necklaces, and many more. This is one of the reasons they do not accept photographs, and another is that they may not want their products to be made public.
Anyway, I took some pictures of the beautiful things inside the shop and thought I'd share them with you. Because many people want to visit Iran but are unable to do so for a number of reasons. These images are intended for anyone interested in Iranian products and culture. Their handcrafted items are very appealing and beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL HANDCRAFTED ITEMS
Let me introduce you some of the items in the shop that are very important to the nation as a whole. The first image shows a wonderful image of the inside of the shop, which is decorated with various religious things. Some of them, like frames and flags, are gold-plated. You can see the gorgeous chandeliers and flags hanging from the cupboards.
The next image is of a beautiful frame that was handwritten by an Iranian artisan who wrote Farsi text on it. When I initially saw this picture, it struck me as really lovely, and I discovered that the corners of the frame may be gold-plated, though I cannot confirm this. This was incredibly stunning, so I decided to take some pictures and share them with you friends.
The following images are of Iranian handcrafted bags that are reasonably priced. The advantages of these handbags are that they are quite durable, that their colours are permanent, and that they are not easily damaged. There were colourful bags with decorations for sale, which I shared with you. If you look closely at the image, you will notice a rate tag in Iranian currency.
This shop has some more beautiful and cultural pictures that you may see in other images. This is my attempt to share with you Iranian products and to show you their culture, which is something I am interested in and enjoy doing. I hope you enjoy the photography and the reading; if you do, please leave a comment so that the next post will be even better. Thank you for sticking with me all the way to the end.
