Content Length Debate: Short and Sweet or Long and Detailed in Hive?
Hive Ecosystem is one of the top blogging platforms for sharing any type of content you have. Whether you are interested in photography, food, SEO technology, vlogging, or any other topic, this platform welcomes all types of content writers to share their knowledge and earn a solid living from it.
One thing that constantly makes me think about is the type of content writing in the Hive ecosystem. When I look into any of the communities, one of the requirements is that you produce at least 500-1000 words in order to receive a curation reward.
I don't understand why people suggest lengthy contents over concise and precise ones. Why should we write 500 or 1000 words when you can get your point across in 200 or 300? which takes a lot of time.
Everyone suggests brief and accurate content in this day and age so that people don't lose time and may obtain the information they require. Unfortunately, there is a tendency in the Hive ecosystem for people to favor lengthy content, like 1000–2000 words.
Some people make $100 on their blogs by sharing substantial content of more than 2000 words. If you read the content, it will take you at least 15 minutes to half an hour to understand what they have written.
However, for those who produced only 200 words, that content is as significant, and you will gain knowledge from it. Then those contents are not rewarded because they do not prefer small-format stuff.
When I compare short and long-term long contents in the hive ecosystem, curators tend to recommend long content. Even if, short information is more informative and saves time when reading, but they still do not prefer.
Some might say that longer content provides more extensive discussion of your issue while still providing a brief overview of the topic that they have chosen. However, I believe that short material will have the same result. If you can deliver your information in two paragraphs, why should we write more than ten paragraphs?
Shorter postings are believed to provide more value, resulting in more reader appreciation and involvement, which is in high demand in today's society. Let's say I had to deliver the concept that how could you generate good content in the Hive ecosystem if I could write in only two paragraphs. Why I keep stretching for more than ten paragraphs, short form content is undoubtedly great for educational purposes, delivering step-by-step instructions and detailed information.
I only suggest long contents for storytelling because they require more words to write and more time to read.
This is only my thought about , and I decided to address this topic in my today's post. I may be wrong, but I feel compelled to share my thoughts and expertise on the distinction between long and short contents, as well as what is in demand nowadays.
Another difficulty in the Hive ecosystem is that there is just one video platform, such as #threepeak, which is currently shut down due to a problem.
We only have one video platform called #3Speak. However, this type of blogging is one of the most popular among users. Video material will allow you to deliver your message in a more effective manner.
There are many people who enjoy watching videos on platforms like Facebook. We like to watch more videos than read other people's stuff. Videos are also more intriguing, and people are drawn to them.
When 3speak was active, I used to share a daily video content that received 15 to 20 views every day. Also, I see that individuals were more interested in the video content because of their remarks and I see their comments under my post.
If the Hive ecosystem had a decent video platform, surely no others interested in the Hive ecosystem would have joined #YouTube and created YouTube channels. One of the key reasons is that they couldn't locate a video platform within the Hive ecosystem.
We only have threespeak video platform, which are not perfectly operational but are experiencing everyday troubles. One thing we must all remember is that in the modern day, people like to recommend video content and share it on the internet.
When we don't have this facility, how can we gain additional users and improve the Hive ecosystem? These are my opinions, which I understand I must express, and I hope you find this post informative. I apologize if my post becomes lengthy because it was necessary to convey.
I hope you find this post interesting and I hope you will like it. If you like the post, please leave feedback in the comments section so that the next one will be even better. Thank you for sticking with me until the end.

I get your point dear
This 3speak.tv own is so unpleasant.
Yup, we need a firm video platform within hive ecosystem.
We sure do need it.
No one read's long post's anymore 😂
Short and sweet is the best as more people will view it and read it
Here's a small tip 👍🏾 @tipu curate
I hope you enjoy your day ✌🏾

Thanks alot for the appreciation
You are more than welcome 😎🤝🏾
The content length does not really matter, if there are no content consumers.
Maybe if you write mostly for yourself.
Currently ThreeSpeak (3Speak) is a socially not working platform.
Most of the upvotes are automated. The so called curators do not even see the content they curate (upvote). Actual, real views are rare.
This is often true for Hive blog posts too.
Most Hive users focus on their own posts.
And most Hive posts are ignored/overlooked because of this.
There is a general lack of context consumers on this platform.
Most Hive users focus on the monetary aspect so much that they forget (do not care) about the content.
This is how most Hive users socially ruin an otherwise technically revolutionary platform.
Hive needs proper marketing to reach actual content consumers.
People, who actually care about the content.
You are right, the lack of real engagement is a big problem. When everyone focuses on rewards, it takes away from the real purpose of sharing content and building a community. Without people who actually enjoy the content, the platform becomes about posting just to earn money, not to have meaningful conversations
as a non english speaking person, I prefer a horter and simpler post, because that is the post that I could understand, a lonegr and more complicated one, is just too far reach from my ability. But I am just a small fish, so my voice doesn't really matter int his huge hive ocean. !hiqvotes great insigt my friend
Agreed bro, its not only the matter of English, users are now more interested in small contents which will save their time as well will get their precise information
