A Memoir of My Journey to Iran's Most Important Shrine
I have many fond memories of visiting the city of Qom with my father and a relative. The time I spent travelling with my family was priceless and unforgettable. The Bibi Masooma shrine, one of Iran's most important Shia Muslim sanctuaries, was one of the highlights of our trip. We prayed and spent more than two hours admiring the shrine's grandeur because of how calm and peaceful it was inside.
IRANIAN CULTURE AND A UNIQUE COFFEE PLACE
Following our visit to the shrine, we decided to tour the city and enjoy the pleasant evening weather. Because the weather was pleasant and the night was beautiful, it was the ideal time for us to tour the markets and learn about Iranian culture.
We immediately came across a small business that provided free heavy coffee as soon as we walked outside the shrine. It was a unique day in Iran and Iraq, where they celebrate famous people's births and deaths by giving away free food and drinks. We were lucky to get the chance to sample their robust coffee, which was exceptionally well-aged and contained only a small amount of sugar. I didn't particularly appreciate the taste, but I found the experience to be interesting.
We began a conversation with some of the locals who were also gathered there as we sipped our coffee and took in the atmosphere. They were friendly and interested in learning more about us, where we were from, and what we thought of Iran. Despite our different backgrounds, we discovered that we had a lot in common with them and enjoyed learning about their culture.
While we were outside, I took some stunning photographs of the surroundings. The first image depicted an elderly man holding a Spanj, which is used to clear smoke from the devil's eyes and enhance the beauty of the environment. The second image was of the entire coffee serving camp at night, which was stunning and beautiful. I took pictures of the neighbourhood and surrounding areas as I walked around.
INTRICATE GOLD AND SILVER DESIGNS
Everything inside the shrine was gold and silver-plated, and the shrines were adorned with priceless jewels. The intricate decorations and patterns that covered the walls and ceilings were stunning. I photographed the interior of the shrine several times, capturing the intricate details and designs that made it so unique and awe-inspiring.
We could see a vast number of stars sparkling above us in the pitch-black night sky. The air was cool and refreshing, and we could hear the sound of prayers emanating from the nearby mosques. We took a seat on a bench, enjoying the opportunity to observe the magnificence of the night sky and the quiet surroundings.
The lovely evening we spent outside the Qom Shrine served as a reminder of the importance of finding various cultures and customs as well as the influence of beauty. The area was tranquil and calming, and the residents were friendly and welcoming. It was fascinating to see the shrine's magnificent building, intricate ornamentation, and locals' distinctive customs and traditions.
My trip photos serve as lovely mementos of the special times I spent with my family in this magnificent metropolis. I yearn to return to Qom and relive the lovely recollections of the lovely night spent in front of the Qom Shrine.
I had a beautiful and unforgettable encounter that night outside the Qom Shrine. It was a wonderful experience that was enhanced by the pleasant weather, the graciousness of the locals, and the stunning design of the shrine. I sincerely hope you liked the photos and the glimpses of the breathtaking scenery from the city of Qom, which is close to the shrine.

I remember reading about Iran back in history class during the Roman Empire era when it was known as Persia. So much history in that golden land as I'm interested in history since we have so little of in in our realtively new country.
The interior of the shrine stunningly beautiful, and one could tell that a lot of love was put into its construction. Here's to hoping you can return someday! :)
Yes, Iran is rich in its cultural heritage and the country is full of historical events. The inside shrine of the Haram is very beautiful and peaceful. I am planning to travel this year once more.
