April 22nd, 2023This week saw no new delegations or delegation increases, but our overall HP grew because of the HP's interest rates. The @asean.hive account now has 10,000+ native HP, all earned from curation powered by VIPs and also via curation posts. I am slowly powering down all HP in excess of 10,000 to reserve and save for an ASEAN Hive investment project.
I aim to allow the community as a whole to determine how to use these funds, with one idea being to use the money to buy an ASEAN Hive bungalow for tourists visiting Cambodia, and to pay ASEAN Hive VIPs dividends from guest fees. The main idea will be to make sort of real world physical fiat investment/purchase that will provide longterm sustainable income to ASEAN Hive VIPs. This will increase the likelihood of more delegations, and more gamification always increases interest.
I'll be posting about this idea soon, so for now let's refocus on this week's raffle winners. @atma.love pulled off a back-to-back win and @davidke broke a very long losing streak. As always I thank the VIPs for their delegations because the collective upvote power is a big part of what lures new content creators to ASEAN Hive.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 128,477, and total delegated HP is 118,085 HP (81,420 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
