October 24th β‘οΈ October 31st, 2022Β Β Β This week's challenge comes at the request of my oldest daughter @srey-yuu, a pencil drawing(s) challenge. She's pretty talented with her Sketchbook app in her iPad, but would like to improve her pencil drawing skills, so I hope this challenge motivates her and you ASEAN Hivers. The concept is a simple one, pencil drawings on paper, so this will require some off-chain artistry.
Β Β Β My drawing skills are no better than that of my country's former orange president, but I may try and enter this challenge to just to show why I failed art class in highschool, yes that's possible, you can fail art. I encourage non-artists to join this challenge because I enjoy a good story and a good laugh as much as I enjoy actual artistic talent. Okay ASEAN Hivers, sharpen your pencils and grab your erasers, and let's have some fun with this one.

Β Β Β You ASEAN Hivers really showed your personalities and stylistic differences with the fried rice challenge. I am ashamed that I made one and forgot to take photos, but that is life sometimes, I was just kind of playing in the kitchen, and only realized I was making fried rice halfway through the process. Luckily though there were plenty of tempting entries, and I am lucky to have eaten dinner before I sat down to curate all the entries. Now let's see the winners' posts..

I have no talents like this either, but I hope was hoping to join just to show how bad I am at drawing. Unfortunately I ran out of time though, life has been hectic.

very nice challenge this week about drawing with pencil.i will ask my son to draw something with pencil.
My daughters are better at drawing than me, but I still enjoy doing things like this.

Haha, me too, I am terrible at any kind of art involving painting, drawing, etc. But there are many talented ASEAN Hiver drawers, so I am pleased to see all the entries from people much more talented than myself.
A pencil drawing challenge...I might not join this one since this is my forte, and won't be fair for the rest π but I might submit something just for the fun of it or maybe get my daughter to participate π. Also thanks for the 2nd prize π
Finally, something you're not good at π, kiddin' of course. My daughters are better sketchers than me too, shame to say I failed art class in highschool.

all posts from hiver look really good, i got hungry after seeing some fried rice there, i think i should make it right away and enjoy it straight away
It's one of my favorite quick meals, and anytime there is leftover rice and not much vegetables left, fried rice is on the menu.
the first congratulations for those of you who won the title of champion about the fried rice challenge, but the next challenge is no less exciting, about painting using pencils, actually I am not a senior artist, but I will show my artwork about painting with pencils here in front of you. all of you, I still remember the procedure for painting using a pencil when I was in elementary school, even though I haven't painted for a long time, but I will show my skills about painting something,,
but surely there will be many participants who take part in the challenge this time, of course those who take part in this challenge are senior artists or painters, but I don't want to lose to them, this is the time to show the true nature of a macro photographer about painting, haha.
when I saw a picture of a cat shown by the former president of the United States, Donald Trump...
that's really unsightly, hahaha.. it really spoils our sight when we see it,,,
oh yes my friend @justiparke can the painting for this challenge be colored.....????
Sorry for the late reply, I'm always running behind lately. I'd like to think if Trump was an artist, that cat picture would be his best work, sorry if my humor is not so good.
Of course you can use colored pencils if you like, but I fear I may be answering your question a bit late. I am a terrible artist, but my daughter's entry was a very good one.
