NEGROS ORIENTAL ESCAPADE: PART 10
HERE WE G0, APO
We are now down to the last few places and activities we've been to during our Negros Oriental Escapade. It was such a fun way to explore the island and escape the busy city life. In this blog, I will be sharing with you our trip to Apo Island. Though this is my 2nd trip to the island. You can check my blog here.
We were a bit tired from the traveling we did the day before but we now need to get up early for us to get breakfast and catch the boat going to the island. We had breakfast at anahaw and made sure we are full before heading to the island. As a second timer, I told my friends what to expect during the boat ride which will be "watery". Due to the current of the waves, the water will splash inside the boat which will get us and our stuff wet. So it's best to wear our swimming clothes already before embarking on the boat.
We reserved a boat through a friend in Zamboanguita but due to some unfortunate series of events, it took so much time for us to leave. The boatman overbooked and our group and some other groups were waiting for quite some time, which ended up with a huge argument and cancellation of the other group's trip. Our group patiently waited for the boat to arrive and they offer
us some discounts and arranged to pick us up later than usual since it was late already for us to be on the island.
We were ecstatic when our boat arrived and we immediately get our stuff and went. The boat ride was fun and scary at the same time but we still enjoyed it. It felt like we are on a theme park riding those ships that splash water. hahaha
After over 30 mins of the boat ride, we reached the island. We registered our names and the boatman brought us to our cottage. This was a different experience than the last time I was here because we went to the resort but that resort was closed already since the pandemic.
We were guided by the boatman to their cottage who informed us of the places where we can get food, drinks, and gear for snorkeling. @tanawabai and Jen did the snorkeling while the rest of us stayed in the cottage, eat and walked on the other side of the island and took a bunch of photos.
After eating and taking so many photos we decided to check the resort on the other side. We were told that we can't go there but I insisted because the water there is beautiful and the iconic rock formation of the island is a must-see. So we did and thankfully the caretaker did not shoo us away. We took some photos, swam for a bit then left.
It was also just about time for us to go back to the mainland. So we, packed up our things, paid our bills, and docked back to the boat. It was definitely a worthy trip and an enjoyable one. I'm happy to see my friends happy and having fun in their Apo Island experience.

Dear @asasiklause, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got an important support from the community. However, it lost its funding few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
