Hello friends,

Today I want to share with you about my Friday afternoon walk with my puppy. He is a great companion and a faithful furry friend.

As the sun began its descent in the late afternoon sky, anticipation filled the air for our Friday playtime ritual with my faithful companion, Benji. There's an undeniable charm to those late afternoons spent outdoors, just me and him, basking in the golden glow of the setting sun.

With Benji's leash in hand, we ventured out into the warm embrace of the late afternoon sun, greeted by a gentle breeze rustling through the trees. His tail wagged eagerly as we approached our neighborhood park, his excitement palpable as he took in the familiar sights and scents of our surroundings.

Once we arrived, Benji wasted no time in dashing off into the open space, his boundless energy on full display. I chuckled affectionately as he frolicked around, chasing after butterflies and darting through patches of sunlight filtering through the trees.

We engaged in a spirited game of fetch with his favorite ball, the sound of his joyful barks mingling with the laughter of children playing nearby. With each throw, Benji bounded after the ball with unbridled enthusiasm, his determination evident in every leap and bound. Later we saw his furry friends: Barney and Daisy. He loved playing with them. It’s amazing how pups can play just like kids. I actually enjoyed chatting with puppies’ “moms” :-) It made me feel like when I used to chat with kids’ moms at the playground, when my kids were still
little.

But our playtime wasn't just about physical activity; it was also a precious opportunity for us to deepen our bond and connection. As Benji returned to me with the ball clutched in his mouth, his eyes shining with happiness, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the companionship and love he brought into my life.

As the afternoon sun began to cast long shadows across the park, we took a moment to simply sit and soak in the beauty of our surroundings. I ran my fingers through Benji's fur as he leaned against me, his contented sighs a soothing melody against the backdrop of chirping birds and rustling leaves.

Unwillingly we eventually made our way back home, the warmth of the late afternoon sun still lingering on our skin. But as I settled Benji into his bed for the night, I couldn't help but smile, knowing that our time together had been yet another cherished memory in our journey as companions.

In a world filled with activity and noise, it's moments like these – spent in the company of a loyal friend, under the golden glow of the late afternoon sun – that remind us to pause, to appreciate, and to find joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Here's to many more late afternoon adventures with Benji, filled with laughter, love, and endless playtime under the sun.
