Surviving in the League of Champions
Let me start by saying, damn, this has been one hell of a season. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions and now I understand why it's called the League of Champions.
It took me 80 Rabona seasons to get the Wicked Boys to this point and now that we're here, we intend to continue staying here. We're in the big boys league, earning big boys RBN from matches and we love it.
Thanks to our upgrade to League of Champions, we're now earning more RBN revenue from home fixtures. This is mostly due to the dramatic rise in our fanbase.
Survived
This season was always going to be about survival and we managed to do it with games to spare. In fact, if we finish the season strong, we will be sure of a top half of the table finish.
We started the season strongly and held on to top spot for a couple games before things took a turn for the worst.
The truth is that the teams in this league are absolute monsters and the losses couldn't be helped. On top of the losses, we also took a couple of batterings that will leave a sore taste for seasons to come.
Our intention is to continue playing in the League of Champions and eventually win the league. We're an ambitious team with a lot of room to improve.
The team also has the full backing of the board. The manager has indicated that the team will be strengthened in the coming season. Certain players are growing old and certain players have injury issues that affect the team in crucial games.
