Welcome Home (Christmas 2023 Painting)

I forgot to share this with you guys, but I finally made a new painting around Christmas!

It's been hard to stay motivated with my art, so I did some reflection and thought: What kind of feeling or idea would push me to finish a drawing? I came to the conclusion that what always sticks with me the most in books, films, series and games is heartwarming moments of love and reunion. I felt that was a perfect fit for Christmas, so I made a drawing of a mother welcoming her child home.

What do you think of the piece? The background is relatively basic but I put a lot of energy into making the characters and colors look appealing!

If people enjoy this one, I may try to draw more again. I haven't been as active as I should be and I do apologize for that! Life gets in the way and it can be hard to keep engaging, even with a great community like this.
