The Weather; so unpridictable
Hello there again men and women of hive. Happy new week. The contest topic for this edition is about the weather.
In my country, at the moment, we are in a rainy season. Our weather is not categorized into summer, winter, autumn or spring like other countries would have it. It is just rainy and dry season category. Although during the dry season, we tend to have some time of cold and it can be quite extreme.
Some other time during the dry season can be really hot.
I remember some years back in time when I was serving in the northern part of Nigeria. At that time, it was dry season, the hot kind of dry season. I bathe 5 times in a day because the heat was too much.
I woke upset one morning, only to find out that my neighbors slept outside just to have a good sound sleep. My friends also gave me their side of the experience that they had to wet the floor with water, mop off the water from the floor, forgo the bed and slept on the floor because it was cooler.
Now to the present moment. The weather now is very dynamic, although we are in a rainy season at the moment and it has been rainy for quite a while now. Therefore, the weather is cool.
One thing about this rainy season that I do not like is, sometimes it gets all cloudy like it is going to rain just to wait few minutes later and the sky is clear. Whenever I see a cloudy sky, I get all rushy to get myself in to the household before it starts, just to get home and no rainbow till the end of the day. I will then be like why the rush? The rush was futile.
Sometimes the weather just deceive you to not doing anything. For example, doing my laundry. I have post poned washing my clothes severally because of a cloudy sky and might or not rain.
Days that you least expect, it might just get a little bit closure and within a blink of an eye, it has started raining.
That's the weather gist for now. Thank you for reading
I get that feeling when you want to wash your clothes. You would be like, why wash them when there is no place to spread them. I can relate!. It can be deceiving.
What I just do is I wash my clothes anyway and I spread them on a stand that I use to spread clothes anytime I was. The stand stays indoor absolutely.
I can't imagine the cold weather being so extreme because where I live there has never been such an extreme cold... thanks for sharing.
Nice one. It takes adaptation to survive the weather of nothern Nigeria especially during harmattan and heat period. The weather can be extreme
Wow... people have different ways of coping with unfavorable weather. Whether hot or cold, people will just figure out a way to survive.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
