My Homemade "Sauteed Ground Pork with Mixed Veggies"
Have a wonderful weekend to all Hivers!
I hope everyone is having a happy and restful day this weekend.
As for me, mostly on weekends, I can have helping hands from my daughter @tegoshei. She only has a few classes during weekends, so she always offers to help me with some of my household chores especially when I am cooking.
She likes to slice vegetables and other spices. Like yesterday, as I was cooking our viand for that day, she helped me in slicing some veggies and spices. I cooked "Sauteed Ground Pork with Veggies" yesterday.
It’s a dish that I wanted to share with you here, so please come and follow me for the preparation and my own method of cooking the said dish.
My Home made Sauteed Ground Pork with mixed Veggies
INGREDIENTS:
-Ground Pork Meat
-Potatoes
-Carrot
-Green Peas
-Onion
-Garlic
-Bell Pepper
-Raisins
-Tomato Sauce
-Soy Sauce
-Oyster Sauce
-Salt
-Ground Black Pepper
-Garlic Powder
-Magic Sarap Seasoning
-Canola Oil
-Water
-Sprite (optional)
-Butter (optional)
PREPARATION:
Wash ground pork thoroughly in a strainer.
Wash and peel potatoes and carrot.
Wash bell pepper.
Peel and wash onion.
Crush and peel garlic.
Slice potatoes and carrot into tiny cubes. Then soak sliced potatoes with water.
Slice or cut onions, garlic and bell pepper in small pieces.
Then set all the ingredients aside while preparing the cooker.
COOKING TIME:
Heat up a small amount of canola oil in a pan and then sauté onions and garlic.
Then add ground pork soon before the onion caramelizes.
Stir to mix and then I add just little butter (only 1/2 tbsp just to enhance the flavor and aroma.) Then add a little amount of oyster sauce. Mix them all together.
Continue sauteing until the ground pork becomes golden brown. Then add bell pepper, stir to mix, and then add carrots and potatoes, stir to combine and continue sautéing for a few more minutes.
Add tomato sauce and continue stirring.
Then add just a little amount of sprite to elevate the flavor and then add water. (This one and the butter earlier are optional, but they enhance the flavor of the dish.)
Season again with a small amount of ground black pepper, garlic powder, soy sauce, a pinch of salt and just a little bit of Magic Sarap seasoning. Cover and let it simmer until the water is reduced and until the pork and veggies are already soft and tender.
Then finally, add green peas and raisins. Mix to combine and continue cooking for about 3 minutes.
And here you go… I’m all done with the dish and ready to serve it for my family.
I was pretty sure they would love it... and they actually did. I hope that you will like it, too. Bon Appetit!! God bless everyone!!!
