La Grande Maison Tokyo

Aside from rom-com movies, feel-good romance movies and TV series, sports anime, and musical shows, another genre that I like is cooking; may it be a reality cooking showdown or competition or a drama series.

A few weeks ago, I watched "La Grande Maison Tokyo".

The series explores the story of a talented Japanese chef who runs a two-star Michelin restaurant in Paris. However, an incident occurred at the restaurant that made him decide to go back to Japan to start a new restaurant in Tokyo together with a Japanese female chef Rinko Hayami (Kyuka Suzuki) who he happened to meet in Paris.

Wel,l the main star of this drama series is one of the most popular actors in Japan, Takuya Kimura who portrayed the role of the Head Chef Natsuki Obana in the French restaurant, Escofille.

What I like the most in this series are their cooking techniques and their attention to detail in making and presenting the food.

I also love and admire their teamwork, willpower, and enthusiasm in creating good food, especially for their valued customers, and for joining the world competition to get three Michelin stars despite just opening their restaurant and being the newest contenders.

Will they make it to the top? It's for you to find out.

This is the reason why I really like to share this series here and I highly recommend it to you in case you haven't seen it yet. In fact, as I'm writing this now, I rewatched the last two overwhelming and tear-jerking episodes. It's a really nice, heartwarming, and enjoyable gourmet drama series to watch. I'm sure you will love this, whether you are passionate about cooking or not.

I'll just end it here and I hope you watch this TV series, it's really worth it and you won't regret it.

Thank you so much for reading my post. 😊❣
