Filipino Sweet Style Spaghetti
Have a great day fellow Hivers!
How are you all today?
I hope all is well and you are having a blessed day.
Anyways, are you a pasta lover? Because today I want to share my version of spaghetti. This is Filipino sweet-style spaghetti. It’s called sweet style, but it’s not that sweet. There is just a little bit of sweetness in it that I'm pretty sure most children will love… even adults!
Filipino Sweet Style Spaghetti
INGREDIENTS:
-500g Spaghetti Pasta
-400g Ground Pork (lean)
-1 big pouch Spaghetti Sauce
-2 cans Spaghetti Meat Sauce
-3 pcs Hotdog
-1 1/2 boxes of Eden cheese (240 g)
-2 tbsp of Condensed Milk
-Onion
-Bell Pepper
-Knorr Pork Cubes
-Canola Oil
-Tabasco Sauce
-Salt
-Water
PREPARATION:
Wash and clean the ground pork thoroughly and then strain.
Wash the hotdog and then slice thinly.
Wash the bell pepper and cut or slice into small pieces.
Peel and wash the onion then slice it into small pieces.
Grate the cheese and then set them all aside. (NOTE: there's only 1 can of spaghetti meat sauce in the photo. I just added another one when I was cooking.)
COOKING TIME:
Boil water in a pot or cooker.
Add 1 tbsp of salt and 2 tbsp of canola oil into boiling water. Then pour in the spaghetti pasta. Stir occasionally until the pasta is already cooked and al dente. Strain and drain and then set aside.
Heat a small amount of canola oil in a pan and stir fry the ground pork until it becomes golden brown. Then move the ground pork aside and add just a little canola oil again and then sauté onions, bell pepper, and then the sliced hotdog. Mix them all together by continuing to stir.
Add 1 piece of Knorr pork cubes. Continue stirring until the pork cube dissolves. Then add the spaghetti meat sauce. Stir constantly and cover the pan and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the spaghetti sauce. Stir and mix, then add 2 tbsp of condensed milk. Continue stirring and simmer for another 5 minutes. Then add some grated cheese. Stir to mix then add just a little drop of Tabasco sauce. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
Add the pasta. Toss and stir to equally combine.
And there it is! It’s now ready for plating and serving for the family's dinner.
I hope you like it especially those who are pasta lovers. Until my next post. Thank you and God bless.
