Luck must be created
In my childhood, my mind was indoctrinated that luck could come into our lives one day that would drastically change our lives overnight with that luck.
However, as time went by, my subconscious mind began to think with a clear mindset that luck would never come by itself.
Because I began to feel that all the things I get now all come from hard work, no one can create luck for my life, I am my own responsibility, and the luck I get is the result of my hard work so far.
Therefore, now I believe more that hard work and preparation are what create "luck", because according to my experience while working hard, I have realized that luck is the same as momentum.
Because the momentum or luck that comes within me to make me more successful only happens when I can combine hard work and consistency.
When hard work and consistency can be combined well, luck begins to form. This also refers to a proverb that I really like, namely "We need to work hard all our lives to succeed overnight", that's what I call momentum.
According to the experiences of successful people that I have heard, they became successful because they managed to get the right momentum when they consistently worked hard.
This momentum is not understood by most people in this world because they cannot be consistent in working hard, therefore lazy people always dream of having luck to change their fate.
In fact, luck can be created by themselves with consistent hard work and having strong preparation and ambition to change their lives into successful people.

I agree with you that working hard can create luck. Opportunities come by and those that work hard get it. Scholarships are not obtained with luck; it's by studying hard and doing well in school.
On the other hand, I also think there's luck without working hard. If someone buys a lottery ticket everyday and won the jackpot would that be considered hard work (I know it's a low chance but people do win). This example is a bit more on the extreme side. Another example could be the people that are born into rich families. They are taken care of. They have a bunch of money and just take over their family business. They might not even need to because they could just pay someone to do most of the work. Is this working hard to create luck?
