NeedleWork: Just Made a Wonderful Pam Slippers For a Customer
Good morning to every member of this community. I am happy to have you back after Easter. Hope you and your family celebrated Easter well. As for, the Easter that I taught would have been in favor to me and my family was really a bad one but I didn’t allow my family to understand about anything that was wrong with me but I still have to tell every member of this community.
I faced some challenges with the device that I used to access the account of this platform #hive. How did I face it? My phone was not functioning well and I took it to the person who claimed to be a professional phone repairer Engineer. The guy spoiled my phone for some time now and as am writing at the moment the phone can’t open again.
Am just pleading with every member of this community to bear with me as I have not been able to read their important post for some time now but I promise that I will still read them one after the other.
Not minding my present challenge with my device some of my shoemaking customers are already in line demanding for their work to be ready. Well, some customers may not really understand your problem and will never despite what you try to explain to them.
One of my customers whom I trusted so much because I used to give him some of my shoemaking products for credits which he will later payback after he must have sold the product, the customer came to my office yesterday and told my team why did we have to go for Easter break instead of working and I replied to him that will have rules and procedures in my own office and again we can’t keep working for the whole day just for money.
In fact, every member of the #NeedleWorkMonday community must learn how to develop time for some rest from his/her needle workplace so that your body can have rest.
I shared with you some of the slippers the customer demanded.
Materials used for the work are:
Sole is the main material in shoemaking because without the sole the leather cannot stand on its own. The sole is always under the shoe or slippers because it is always strong and can prevent water from damaging the leather.
Leather is the most common material in shoemaking that must be considered before your production. Shoe leather is the material that is mostly used at the top of every sole in shoemaking.
Scissors are the common sharp metal used for the cutting of your leather after measurement must have taken place but the scissors must be handled properly.
Gum is the material used to hold the sole and the leather together whenever the whole process for the work is complete.
The sewing machine is the manual equipment used in shoemaking for the sewing together of leather according to your design choice of the shoe or slippers.
How I made the shoe:
I made my materials available and then started the processes.
You must be aware of the type of shoe or slippers you are willing to work on.
Measure your leathers and then cut with scissors.
Sew the leather according to your design.
Sandpaper your shoe sole very well for complete acceptance of gum.
Gum your sole and the leather separately after you must have sandpapered.
Place your leather and the sole under the sun for some hours.
Then gum the leather and the sole together and then hit gently with a hammer.
Nice work man. I actually started learning shoemaking but ive not been able to complete it.
