Good day, all. Hope you are all fine with family and business. I wish you all more success in all you do.

This week's shoemaking work is really good as I keep having many customers but it’s really okay with me as I choose to surprise a consistent customer with a pair of slippers.

One of the things why I decided to surprise one particular customer today among other ones is that the customer is always consistent in buying large numbers of shoes and slippers from my shoemaking office. The consistency of this particular customer made me and my team develop a mutual relationship with the customer to an extent that he can make a demand for any type of slippers from me without paying immediately.

The customer turned out to be a business and a family friend because of the way we have been relating for years now. The customer did a surprising thing that made me surprise him with special and colorful slippers today.

Let me gist you a little about how it all started. last year, this customer came to my shop to demand shoes and slippers which he will be adding to his boutique business but unfortunately for him when he finished with the demand for the slippers, he came back to carry the slippers and shoes when I finished making them, it was about 53 pieces of slippers. By the time he packed the slippers in his car and wanted to make payment for the work then he noticed that the money he wanted to pay with was nowhere to be found. He pleaded with me to allow him to go with the work which I did by the time I understood his feelings. So when he came back to pay for the slippers, he thanked me and my team for letting him go with the shoes and sippers. It was from that moment that we became friends.

Do you know that just last week when I wanted to buy some materials like leathers, soles, and many others for my shoemaking business I tried to make a withdrawal with my ATM card but it was not functioning? I called some of my family members to assist me but known of them responded so I didn’t know what to do rather than try this customer. When I called the customer and told him about my ATM card issue and that I need money urgently, he asked me how much and he later gave me the money.

So today, considering what he did for me. I chose to surprise him with slippers as a gift for his kindness as a business partner and as a friend.

Materials used for the slippers are:

Leather is used in designing the top slippers.

Sole is commonly used to assist the slippers so that they wouldn’t spoil on time from the downside.

Thread is one of the main materials used in shoemaking because it is used to sew the top leather of the slippers together to give the slippers a perfect result.

A fancy buckle is used to give any slipper a unique design depending on the type of buckle you are using.

Tools used for the work are:

Sewing machine.

Gum.

Scissors.

Point cutter.

Sandpaper.

Brush.

Hammer.

How I made the slippers:

Getting the complete materials for the work.

Know the size and type of slippers that I want.

Taken clean measurement.

Cutting the leathers accordingly.

Sewing the top leather of the slippers.

Sandpaper of the sole and leather of the slippers.

Gumming the sole and leather of the slippers properly with a brush.

Place the sole and the leather of the slippers under the sun.

Fixing of the slippers according and then using a hammer to hit carefully for proper tightening of the slippers.
