Saludos a toda la comunidad HIVE, es un gusto para mi volver a escribir para ustedes. En esta oportunidad, vengo a hablarles sobre SATURDAY UNDERGROUND. Un evento TODO PUBLICO hecho en autogestión y sin fines de lucro donde; artistas del medio Punk, Hard Core, Hard Rock y Grunge presentaron su galería de música original ante la comunidad de San Bernardino en el teatro Río Caribe.

Saturday Underground es un evento que nace de la alianza entre dos comunidades del Distrito Capital: Underground en la pista y el Circuito Caracas Musical. Los responsables de esta organización son: Julian D`wuentt (Bajista y vocalista de Makondo 2.0), Jesus Ramírez (guitarrista de Jarcy) y mi persona Antony Jimenez @antonyjimenezve (Bajista de Yantra).

Para este trabajo, nos enfocamos en brindar un espacio de recreación y disfrute para la juventud caraqueña.

Como productores y organizadores del evento, seleccionamos e invitamos a 6 bandas del gremio Venezolano: Acidemia (Caracas), Jarcy (Caracas), Makondo 2.0 (Caracas), akabatrapos (Yaracuy), OMERTA (Caracas) y Yantra (Caracas).

Cabe destacar que fue el primer evento en el que incluimos como método de pago nuestra moneda HBD.

La entrada tenía un costo de 5$ y se hizo preventa desde un mes antes del evento. Para recaudar los fondos de producción y logística para el mismo.

Recibimos apoyo en difusión por parte de los amigos de: KRACASPUNX, CRESTA METÁLICA y RULEBURN.

Pero realmente, fue el trabajo en equipo y la sinergia lograda con los compañeros de las bandas, lo que ayudó a cubrir un 80% de los gastos operativos de la producción, previo al evento. Y aquí es donde brilla lo que yo llamo: recurso humano.

Nosotros agotamos los recursos pidiendo patrocinio y aunque la mayoría nos dio un no como respuesta, seguimos tocando puertas. El primer patrocinante en hacerse notar fue el supermercado "Los próceres" de San Bernardino. Ellos suministraron las bebidas y el hielo. Además, apoyaron con el transporte de los insumos. y me dejaron todo a consignación. Las ganancias fueron destinadas para cubrir traslados y el alquiler de algunos equipos.

El sábado 1 de Julio, mi día arrancó muy temprano, uno de los emprendimientos falló al cancelar su asistencia y me tocó resolver. A las 8:00am, fui a plaza la Candelaria y compré algunos insumos. En simultaneo coordiné la hora de entrega de las cajas de cervezas y hielo al teatro.

A las 9am, los muchachos estaban haciendo montaje y verificando que todo estuviera en orden con el sonido. Yo llegué aproximadamente a las 9:30. Primero pasé a mi casa a dejar algunas cosas que debían cocinarse antes. Teníamos un limite de tiempo para abrir las puertas al público general, la 1:00PM.

Enrique Armas (alias KIKE) Colaboró apoyando en el montaje y definición del sonido.
Yo por mi parte, organicé la parte de las bebidas, Julián coordinó a las bandas y al equipo que estaba en la puerta cobrando entradas.

Una vez todos listos, se dio apertura a la puerta. Para nuestra sorpresa, comenzaron a llegar personas que no estaban en lista de preventa y aquí ocurrió la verdadera magia que; nos demostró que, hicimos un buen llamado mediático.

Nuestro trabajo en Redes fue especial, nos apoyamos mucho entre nosotros; me refiero al Circuito Caracas Musical, Underground en la Pista y por su puesto las bandas.

Durante todo el evento, las personas se comportaron a la altura, nunca hubo problemas, todos nos divertimos mucho y compartimos como comunidad un día de buena música y disfrute, lo cual fue único para nosotros.

En conclusión, se logró el objetivo. Hacer un evento de forma independiente y demostramos que, tenemos una comunidad unida. Como músico, creo que es complejo todo lo que uno tiene que hacer para poder presentar su propia música.

Cada vez es más difícil conseguir un espacio para presentarnos, apoyo económico y a veces hasta mediático. Pero nosotros siempre, salimos adelante y logramos los objetivos.

Es importante destacar que, tenía un video preparado para este post, y tenía muchas fotos del evento, pero hace poco, robaron mi teléfono y perdí el material. Por ese motivo, voy a publicar algo nuevo que logre hacer.

Greetings to all the HIVE community, it is a pleasure for me to write for you again. In this opportunity, I come to tell you about SATURDAY UNDERGROUND. An ALL PUBLIC event made in self-management and non-profit where; artists of Punk, Hard Core, Hard Rock and Grunge presented their gallery of original music to the community of San Bernardino in the Rio Caribe Theater.

Saturday Underground is an event born from the alliance between two communities of the Capital District: Underground en la pista and Circuito Caracas Musical. Those responsible for this organization are: Julian D`wuentt (bassist and vocalist of Makondo 2.0), Jesus Ramirez (guitarist of Jarcy) and myself Antony Jimenez @antonyjimenezve (bassist of Yantra).

For this work, we focused on providing a space for recreation and enjoyment for the youth of Caracas.

As producers and organizers of the event, we selected and invited 6 Venezuelan bands: Acidemia (Caracas), Jarcy (Caracas), Makondo 2.0 (Caracas), akabatrapos (Yaracuy), OMERTA (Caracas) and Yantra (Caracas).

It is worth mentioning that it was the first event in which we included our HBD currency as a payment method.

The entrance fee was $5.00 and was pre-sold one month before the event. To raise funds for production and logistics for the event.

We received support in diffusion from the friends of: KRACASPUNX, CRESTA METÁLICA and RULEBURN.

But really, it was the teamwork and synergy achieved with the band mates that helped cover 80% of the production's operating expenses prior to the event. And this is where what I call: human resources, shines.

We exhausted our resources asking for sponsorship and although most of them gave us a no answer, we kept knocking on doors. The first sponsor to be noticed was the supermarket "Los Proceres" in San Bernardino. They supplied the drinks and ice. They also helped with the transportation of the supplies and left everything on consignment. The proceeds went to cover transportation and the rental of some equipment.

On Saturday, July 1st, my day started very early, one of the ventures failed to cancel their attendance and I had to resolve it. At 8:00am, I went to Plaza La Candelaria and bought some supplies. At the same time I coordinated the time to deliver the cases of beer and ice to the theater.

At 9am, the guys were setting up and checking that everything was in order with the sound. I arrived at approximately 9:30. I first stopped by my house to drop off a few things that needed to be cooked first. We had a time limit to open the doors to the general public, 1:00PM.

I, for my part, organized the drinks, Julian coordinated the bands and the team that was at the door collecting tickets.

Once everyone was ready, the door was opened. To our surprise, people who were not on the pre-sale list started to arrive and this is where the real magic happened; it showed us that we made a good media call.

Our networking was special, we supported each other a lot; I mean the Caracas Musical Circuit, Underground en la Pista and of course the bands.

During the whole event, people behaved up to par, there were never any problems, we all had a lot of fun and shared as a community a day of good music and enjoyment, which was unique for us.

In conclusion, the goal was achieved. To make an event in an independent way and we showed that we have a united community. As a musician, I think it is complex everything you have to do to be able to present your own music.

It is increasingly difficult to get a space to perform, economic support and sometimes even media support. But we always go ahead and achieve our goals.

It is important to note that I had a video prepared for this post, and I had many photos of the event, but recently, my phone was stolen and I lost the material. For that reason, I am going to publish something new that I managed to do.
