MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE / COLLAGE CON TÉCNICA MIXTA

The work that I present here today, I made it more than a year ago for an important exhibition of works made in collage, besides being a work made in that technique, has the particularity that all the other elements come from the recycling of other works and material that sometimes people discard.

El trabajo que presento acá hoy, lo realice hace mas de un año para una importante exposición de obras hechas en collage, ademas de ser un trabajo hecho en esa técnica, tiene la particularidad de que todos los demás elementos provienen del reciclaje de otras obras y material que a veces las personas desechan.

The center of the work is based on cardboard and paper from various old magazines, the shapes are made by modeling them in paper mache and then wrapping them in pieces of paper to achieve the textures.

El centro de la obra esta basada en cartón y papel de variadas y antiguas revistas, las formas las he dado modelando en papel mache y posteriormente envolviendo en trozos de papel para lograr las texturas.

The circle and the buttons that are highlighted have a meaning, that is, they represent the summer of the arid lands, as well as the colors that highlight the yellow ochre and white.

El circulo y los botones que se resaltan tienen un significado, esto es que representan el verano de las tierras áridas, al igual que los colores que resaltan el amarillo ocre y el blanco

The frame was part of some other work and now it has been restored, it has been wrapped in paper and resin and has been given another artistic sense, the whole work can be considered a mixed media work or a collage, its measures are 40 centimeters by 50 centimeters and I am waiting to be delivered to a collector in my country.

El marco formo parte de alguna otra obra y ahora ha sido restaurado, se ha envuelvo en papel y resina y se le ha dado otro sentido artístico, toda la obra se puede considerar una obra en técnica mixta o un collage, sus medidas son de 40 centímetros por 50 centímetros y estoy esperando para ser entregada a un coleccionista de mi pais.

Usually some parts of the rescued objects are left so that the viewer has a visual information of where each piece comes from, in this case the piece also lacks background, with this it is sought that each site where it is installed provides a new background which allows to make in each site a new work for the eye that observes it. I hope you liked this assembly.

Por lo general se dejan algunas partes de los objetos rescatados para que el espectador tenga una información visual de donde proviene cada pieza, en esta caso ademas la pieza carece de fondo, con esto se busca que cada sitio donde sea instalada le proporcione un nuevo fondo lo que permite hacer en cada sitio una obra nueva para el ojo que la observa. Espero les haya gustado este ensamblaje.
