I hope you have a nice, wonderful and blessed day today I have come with a very particular material to what I have been used to doing, as you noticed on the cover I wanted to work transforming this undergarment that for reasons of life I had kept very much. Yesterday I started to go through my things and check what things I had stored there unused and I found this garment which I washed so I could work with it.

This garment or bra was a gift from my great-grandmother, yes my loves, my great-grandmother gave it to me many years ago, unfortunately she is not with us but we always remember her with affection. I have three things that she gave me, two pieces of jewelry and this beautiful bra that although I It was tight because I gained weight, it is still in very good condition, that is why today I wanted to remodel it with a lace fabric to adapt it to my bust and of course continue to have it as a memory of her until it no longer works completely, as I would like it not to break. but things are not eternal so someday they must end but I hope it is not soon because I like it a lot, below I show you the process of this simple transformation.

Steps to follow:

Paso 01

Step 01

I started by simply unstitching the garment and the pieces that I was going to replace, such as that pink fabric that was very tight on my back.

Step 02

As a second step, I took my piece from the back of the bra to guide me only in the fall since, as I mentioned, it was tight. I made it 3 cm wider in the back, so this way it would be looser, then I marked my two pieces and proceeded to cut them to sew the elastic.

We proceed to sew our elastic with a 1 cm seam, leaving the lace fabric and rest on top with a zig zag seam.

Once we have the pieces ready with the elastic that I only put on top, we are going to sew the pieces to the sides of the bra where the pink piece was before. That way we are going to replace it with those pieces that we have made.

We sew the pieces of the hooks of our bra, I sewed it with a zig zag also to adjust it well, we finished sewing the straps, I marked exactly the measurement of where I wanted it and this is how I finished it.

De esta manera paso a mostrarles el resultado,les juro que yo quedé encantada no dejo de ver cómo ha quedado y lo bien que me queda estoy feliz ya que puedo volver a usarlo y tener presente en mi este lindo regalo de mi bisabuela,espero les haya gustado mucho este diy reciclando ropa y dándole la oportunidad a cosas que parecen no tenerlo.
