I am pleased to invite my friends @tere.alv and @popurri. From the bank of questions posed, I took the two that I liked the most, and I will develop them below:

How was your childhood Christmas?

If there is something that makes me very nostalgic, it is remembering what Christmas was like in my childhood; I would have to take a tour of a host of traditions that surrounded our Venezuela and that despite the circumstances currently experienced, we have made an effort to maintain but there is no point of comparison.

I'm talking about more than 40 years ago, and those were those times when the list of special events lived in a month was longer than all the special moments that we could enjoy in the rest of the year. In my home they were always very attached to traditions, and spared no effort in giving the little ones a magical Christmas full of lights and colors. I think I had the satisfaction of enjoying almost everything that was somehow part of the Christmas traditions. My greatest emotion was to see the big Christmas tree full of gifts everywhere, because the family was big and if each one had several gifts, the base of the tree was not enough to protect them, so they went out of shape. Today I try to keep those traditions alive at least the ones that are possible for me.

That is why I would love to make a fun game in which I will mention all the words related to Christmas and I am sure that the list would be immense and would not end, but I am going to name a few because I know that each one will place me in a beautiful moment of the Christmases of my childhood. I would love for us all to play it, and complete some word connected to Christmas that I have not mentioned.

Manger or birth, little tree, snowmen, garlands, lights, gifts, hallacas, Baby Jesus, Santa Claus, Three Wise Men, reindeer, ham bread, walnuts, hazelnuts, grapes, fireworks, star of Bethlehem, Christmas decorations, letters , cards, roast leg, chicken salad, dulce de lechosa, cream punch, wine, skates, bagpipes, Christmas bonuses, partying, Christmas boots, Christmas angel, sleigh, family union, harmony, frost, Easter, New Year, Christmas Eve , Bethlehem, bells, Christmas dinner, baked turkey, poinsettia, Christmas cookies, secret friend, Christmas bonus mass, little shepherds, peace, Christmas cake, Saint Joseph, the Virgin, the mule, the ox, panettone, candles, and the Spirit of Christmas.

These are just some of the words that, when heard, take us back to any moment lived every December in any part of the world, and nostalgia invades us because for the majority the best Christmases will always be those of our childhood.

What is your favorite thing about Christmas?

Everything, I think there is nothing about Christmas that I don't like, but what I like the most is the harmony and peace that is breathed during these days, and the positive energy that seeing each space dressed in Christmas transmits to me , with its radiant decorations full of lights, brightness, colors, and joy.

I am passionate about decorating my home with everything I have, and it has a magical effect on my soul to watch the lights on the tree turn on and off in the dark. Not to mention the smells of Christmas, as I recently related in a post where our friend Tibaire invited us, feeling that the atmosphere is impregnated with the smells of hallacas and sweet milk is something I don't even know how to describe, it's simply delicious.

Hola a todos, me complace participar en esta hermosa iniciativa navideña porque adoro ese tema. Muchas gracias a mi amiga @brujita18 por la invitación. Tengo el agrado de invitar a mis amigas @tere.alv y @popurri. Del banco de preguntas planteadas, tomé las dos que más me gustaron, y las voy a desarrollar a continuación:

¿Cómo fueron las navidades de tu infancia?

Si hay algo que me produce mucha nostalgia es recordar cómo eran las navidades en mi infancia; tendría que hacer un recorrido por un cúmulo de tradiciones que arropaban a nuestra Venezuela y que a pesar de las circunstancias vividas en la actualidad, nos hemos esforzado en mantener pero no hay punto de comparación.

Estoy hablando de hace más de 40 años, y eran aquellos tiempos donde la lista de eventos especiales vividos en un mes era más larga que todos los momentos especiales que podíamos disfrutar en el resto del año. En mi hogar siempre fueron muy apegados a las tradiciones, y no escatimaban esfuerzos en brindarnos a los más pequeños una navidad mágica llena de luces y colores. Creo que tuve la satisfacción de disfrutar casi todo lo que de alguna manera formaba parte de las tradiciones navideñas. Mi mayor emoción era ver el gran árbol de navidad lleno de regalos por todos lados, y es que la familia era grande y si cada uno tenía varios regalos, la base del árbol no alcanzaba para resguardarlos, así que se salían del contorno. Hoy en día procuro mantener vivas esas tradiciones al menos las que me son posibles.

Por eso me encantaría hacer un juego divertido en el que mencionaré todas las palabras relacionadas con la navidad y estoy segura que la lista sería inmensa y no terminaría, pero voy a nombrar algunas porque sé que cada una me va a situar en un momento hermoso de las navidades de mi infancia. Me encantaría que lo jugáramos todos, y me completen alguna palabra conectada a la navidad que yo no haya mencionado.

Comenzaré así… para mí la Navidad es:

Pesebre o nacimiento, arbolito, muñecos de nieve, guirnaldas, luces, regalos, hallacas, Niño Jesús, Santa Claus, Reyes Magos, renos, pan de jamón, nueces, avellanas, uvas, fuegos artificiales, estrella de Belén, adornos navideños, cartas, tarjetas, pernil asado, ensalada de gallina, dulce de lechosa, ponche crema, vino, patinatas, gaitas, aguinaldos, parranda, botas navideñas, ángel de la navidad, trineo, unión familiar, armonía, escarcha, pascuas, año nuevo, nochebuena, Belén, campanas, cena navideña, pavo horneado, flor de pascua, galletas navideñas, amigo secreto, misa de aguinaldo, pastorcillos, paz, torta navideña, San José, la Virgen, la mula, el buey, panetón, velas, y Espíritu de la Navidad.

Éstas son sólo algunas de las palabras que al escucharlas nos remontan a cualquier momento vivido cada diciembre en cualquier parte del mundo, y la nostalgia nos invade porque para la mayoría siempre las mejores navidades serán las de nuestra infancia.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de las navidades?

Todo, creo que no hay algo de la navidad que no me guste, pero lo que más, más me gusta es la armonía y la paz que se respira durante estos días, y la energía positiva que me transmite el ver cada espacio vestido de navidad, con sus decoraciones radiantes llenas de luces, de brillo, de colores, y de alegría.

Me apasiona decorar mi hogar con todo lo que tengo, y me produce un efecto mágico en el alma observar las luces del árbol prender y apagar en la penumbra. Ni hablar de los olores de la navidad, como relaté recientemente en un post donde nos invitó nuestra amiga Tibaire, sentir que el ambiente se impregna de los olores de las hallacas y el dulce de lechosa es algo que no sé ni cómo describir, es simplemente delicioso.

Siempre le digo a mis familiares y amigos que yo nací con el espíritu de la navidad en el alma, porque así esté pasando por situaciones difíciles, la llegada de la navidad me cura mágicamente.
