Potrait of a girl
Hi everyone today I want to share another portrait that I made recently. This one I made it for my friend as a birthday gift. Here are the steps.
First I made a grid and rough sketch of features.
Erased the guiding lines and started with eyes as usual because making the eye first makes the drawing living. then the nose and then the lips. These features are always the most tricky part and it gets more tricky when the subject is not looking in front and we have to make it from an angle.
Then her mendhi was a very attention-seeking feature in the picture, so tried to replicate it and after that her earrings which had very tiny details.
Now for the most important part, the hair it had the most contrast hence it was also important to get it right. for her hair made a layer with hb pencil then blended it with paper stump then a layer of 4B and then finally a layer of 10B pencil all with sharp tips as I only used strokes to make it this dark.
Finally her beautiful dress.
After this final one with some touch-ups and highlights.
Here is the final on. you can compare it with the reference picture.
Thanks for sticking by.
