Let's talk about a web3 NFT RPG (Role-Playing Game) brought to life by Riveted Games and currently built on SKALE Network, the fastest blockchain network according to Dartmouth Blockchain's recent Study.

As we all know, gaming projects and games generally have driven massive growth in the blockchain industry. These gaming projects are mostly NFT games and we've seen the explosion of some popular ones like Axie and Splinterlands in the last bull run. Cryptoblades is designed by the award-winning game development company Riveted Games, it is a play-to-earn blockchain gaming platform where NFTs are made to have utility, and players are meant to defeat their opponents by participating in a raid. The winner of the fight is determined by who has the strongest weapon to defeat the other and on winning, the winner is awarded the $SKILL tokens.

The $SKILL token is generally used to power the Cryptoblades game, players can hire more characters, forge new weapons to participate in raids or reforge weapons they already have, to make them stronger for more power against enemies. The characters or weapons created can be directly traded in the open marketplace where it is transferred to other players. Players may also forge or reforge and create characters with their $SKILL tokens, the tokens can be staked for additional rewards depending on what a player wishes to do with their $SKILL earnings.

Requirement to play Cryptoblades

As I said earlier, Cryptoblades is currently built on SKALE Network. First, you need to know that a wallet is required on Metamask to connect to the SKALE Network. Once you connect to your Metamask, you need to have some $SKL token or Ethereum to the $SKILL token you need to get started on Cryptoblades. $SKILL tokens are needed to get your characters and forge your weapons to play the game.

To get your $SKILL token into Cryptoblades, you will go through these steps:

• Connect to Metamask with your preferred wallet
• Go to Ruby.Exchange to bridge either your Ethereum or $SKL token from Ethereum Network to SKALE Network Chain on Ruby Exchange - Requires payment of $1 gas fees for approval and less than 5 USD or 6 depending on the gas fee at the time for the bridging to take place.
• Still on Ruby.Exchange, swap your ETH or SKALE token to crypto blades token $SKILL
• Send your $SKILL token from Ruby.Exchange to CryptoBlades. This is sent between 2 SKALE chains, and it requires no gas fee. Only sFuel on SKALE Network.

How the game works

There are important things to know about Cryptoblades to understand the gameplay. The elements of the game are Fire, Earth, Lightning and Water, they all have their strength and weaknesses and the weak ones against the stronger one at a point might be stronger with a higher level of character and stronger weapon.

A good illustration of this is water against fire, water is definitely going to win the battle, but fire against the earth, Fire is winning the battle. Fire wins against Earth but Earth wins Lightning. Earth wins against lightning but lightning wins against water. Water is defeated by lightning but water wins fire. Elements against each other, from strong to weak in the actual sense looking at the nature of each element, the strong will win but if a weak element meets a stronger one with a higher level card and weapon. The weak one might win.

In the game, players are expected to mint or recruit their first character with a $SKILL token, You can have more characters as you want but for a start, 4 is enough. When you recruit your character, you get a random new character with a weapon and they all automatically have 200 Stamina. Stamina is needed to enter combat or battle an enemy, the minimum stamina required for a battle is 40, which means the 200 will get you into 5 battles. Selecting a weapon that relates to the character you are using in a battle will increase your chance of winning. Like selecting a fire weapon for a fire character.

Since you will be playing on SKALE Network, you do not need to pay any gas fee to play. sFuel will fill the gap for that. For every win from each character, the player earns VALOR or $SKILL points and also accumulates character experience, which increases the level of your character to increase its overall power. Your character level will increase when you claim.

3 main things you can do on CryptoBlades

Play to Earn - When you defeat enemies or opponents, you earn gaming tokens, like $SKILL or VALOR. The rewards increase when you grow and defeat more powerful enemies.

Forge - You can mint, forge weapons in the blacksmith and recruit characters to go in combat, battle and raids. You can trade them also in the marketplace or transfer them to other users.

Raid Dungeons & PVP - You can join the players in staking honourable characters and their weapons to take the Hellborn or Engage in Player Vs Player combat against others in the Arena for a reward.

Weapons and Combat

Players can obtain 5 different levels of weapons in the game when they forge. The weapons are known by their stars where the 1-star weapons are the most common weapons and when weapons are forged, there's a 44% chance of getting a common weapon. The 2-star weapons have a 35% chance of being forged, 3-star 15% chance, 4-star 5% chance and 5-star 1% chance. From 1-5 stars, 1 is normal and 5 stars is the rarest.

In combat, this is where you battle with opponents, you pick your character to combat with and choose your weapons, 4 opponents will show up where you can see the opponent's elements, attributes, power and weapons. Choosing the right weapon with the same element of the character will contribute to your victory.

As you grow in experience and character level, your earnings increase. Play-to-Earn and Keep Growing. No gas fee is required all through the game. SKALE Network zero gas fee got it covered.
