Making friends after 30 || Haciendo amistades después de los 30 [Esp/ Eng]

Conservar amistades a lo largo de los años es un gran privilegio, tener la dicha de poder compartir tantas experiencias con personas que van perdurando con el tiempo, esas con las que se forma un nexo tan grande que ya hasta parecen familia, donde prevalece el amor, respeto y lealtad. Personalmente eso es algo que atesoro mucho, con el tiempo he notado que nos volvemos mas selectivos con quienes deseamos en nuestras vidas y es por ello que puede costar mas hacer amigos a medida que vas creciendo.

Keeping friendships over the years is a great privilege, to have the joy of being able to share so many experiences with people that last over time, those with whom you form a bond so big that they even seem like family, where love, respect and loyalty prevail. Personally that is something that I treasure very much, with time I have noticed that we become more selective with who we want in our lives and that is why it can be more difficult to make friends as you get older.

A mediados del año pasado me mudé y estaba en el proceso de adaptación de esa nueva zona, soy de las mujeres que les gusta tener las manos y los pies arreglados y ya mi manicurista habitual quedaba muy lejos, por lo que por recomendación de una amiga empecé anterderme con Yuliannys, desde la primera vez me encanto su trabajo y su atención, es una muchacha bien amena de esas que transmiten tranquilidad. Lo que jamás me imaginé es que gracias a esto iniciaría una gran amistad.

In the middle of last year I moved and was in the process of adapting to this new area, I am one of those women who like to have their hands and feet groomed and my usual manicurist was far away, so on the recommendation of a friend I began to anterderme with Yuliannys, from the first time I loved her work and her attention, she is a very nice girl of those who transmit tranquility. What I never imagined is that thanks to this I would start a great friendship.

Empecé a ir mensualmente a su sitio de trabajo y allí pasabamos horas conversando, al principio cosas cotidianas, luego la confianza era tan grande que nos deciamos cosas personales; nos enviabamos un mensaje de vez en cuando y estábamos pendientes una de la otra. Todo fue fluyendo de manera muy natural, como si nos conociéramos de toda la vida, aceptandonos con los carácteres de cada quién, solo cuando me quería hacer un diseño en las uñas que no le gustaba que me decía "ese no" jajaja y yo le respondía "la confianza apesta"; ahora eso es un chiste entre las dos.

I started to go monthly to her place of work and there we spent hours talking, at first everyday things, then the trust was so great that we told each other personal things; we sent each other a message from time to time and we were aware of each other. Everything flowed in a very natural way, as if we had known each other all our lives, accepting each other's character, only when she wanted to do a design on my nails that she didn't like she would tell me "not that one" hahaha and I would reply "trust sucks"; now that's a joke between the two of us.

Así fueron pasando los meses y nuestra amistad se fue afianzando, ya salíamos hacer otras cosas, compartirmos los cumpleaños de cada una, nos hemos presentado a la familia, y hasta con otras amistades; ella aún no tiene hijos de hecho es 6 años menor que yo pero junto con su esposo han compartido con mi pequeño y han sido una maravilla con el. De hecho nosotros la llamamos "Yuli" como diminutivo por su nombre. Ella llegó a mi vida en una etapa de muchos cambios y un proceso de adaptación y sin darse cuenta fue haciendolo más llevadero.

Months went by and our friendship grew stronger, we went out to do other things, we shared each other's birthdays, we introduced each other to the family, and even with other friends; she doesn't have children yet, in fact she is 6 years younger than me but together with her husband they have shared with my little boy and have been wonderful with him. In fact we call her "Yuli" as a diminutive for her name. She came into my life at a time of many changes and a process of adaptation and without realizing it, she was making it more bearable.

Puedo decir que me siento muy afortunada de haber podido coincidir con una excelente persona como ella, en parte de mi agradecimiento siempre estoy recomendando su trabajo y por medio de esto ha tenido más clientas que a su vez también tienen buenas referencias de ella y yo feliz de verla crecer. Jamás hubiera imaginado que pasaría de ser mi manicurista a mi amiga en tan poco tiempo, pero se ha ganado un lugar especial en mi y al final no es tanto la cantidad de tiempo que compartes con alguien sino la calidad del mismo.

I can say that I feel very fortunate to have been able to coincide with an excellent person like her, in part of my gratitude I am always recommending her work and through this she has had more clients who in turn also have good references of her and I am happy to see her grow. I would never have imagined that she would go from being my manicurist to my friend in such a short time, but she has earned a special place in me and in the end it is not so much the amount of time you share with someone but the quality of it.
