The Dish That Takes Me to Nostalgia My Tough Times

Hard times may not last longer than the good times in our lives. But we will always remember what and whoever accompanied us during our difficult times.

Enjoyed Hotplate Noodles which brought me to the hard times when I was a student.

Once in the past, I really wanted to eat at a mall, even though I was alone. In the past, I had to save a long time just to eat one serving of noodles served on a hot plate with crunchy vegetables with thick sauce which might indeed make the people comfortable.

That is the menu ”Hotplate Noodles with Chicken and Waterspinach”. The menu is located at one of the outlets in the food court of Binjai Mall.

So when I visited the food court area at Binjai Mall, I immediately smiled when one food outlet was still there. A food outlet that used to be where I ordered my favorite food and became my dream in this place.

I also decided to stop by the outlet and wanted to order the same thing as before to reminisce about my difficult times. Those memories will make me grateful for what I have now. And I am fully aware that I can go through what I thought I could never go through.

HOT PLATE DISH

Hotplates in my city, Binjai City, as well as Medan City, which is still in one province (North Sumatra, Indonesia), are quite popular. Meanwhile, when I go to another city, I find it difficult to find the characteristics of the same menu.

The hotplate dish that I mean here is more focused on the ingredients of various types of noodles. So it's not ingredients other than noodles served on a hotplate. Maybe in other areas, it is popular to serve steak using a hot plate like in my city.

Before going to college, I never knew what a HOT PLATE DISH was. I only found out about it when I started to dare to walk around the mall.

Back then, my mind was that the dish looked quite expensive, even though it was just under $2. For me, eating around $2 a meal was quite expensive for me in the past.

Well, this time I ordered again the same menu as before: ”Hotplate Noodles with Chicken and Waterspinach”.

What surprised me and amazed me is that the location of this outlet has not changed at all as it used to be about ten years ago. Oh my God, how time flies. Right?

When the food I ordered came, it didn't change the way it was served at all. This is my favourite. With curly noodle type noodles, with water spinach and chickens, it all looks tempting. I swallowed my saliva hoping that the taste was still the same as before.

In the end, I also traveled to the past through this food. Bit by bit, I enjoyed ”Hotplate Noodles with Chicken and Waterspinach”. It's quite amazing. Not a different taste. Still delicious must have been years ago.

Although my taste and mind have tasted many delicious things, this hot plate dish is still quite delicious and still has a place in my heart. I still love the same sauce from this dish. :)

AVOCADO JUICE

Avocado juice accompanies me to my nostalgia. While sipping this creamy juice, I smiled to myself. Blush, then give thanks.

There are always delicious foods that make us grateful for the life that is actually very beautiful, although sometimes hidden in various perceptions of our life. :)
