Simple Meal On Minimal Dishware
Only a few ingredients but with a rich taste. It takes art to make it.
Minimalist living is an art. It can be said to be difficult if you are not used to it. But that doesn't mean we can't do that. First, it takes awareness to understand what we need vs. what we want-which doesn't have a big impact on our overall life.
This week's prompt from The Minimalist Community caught my attention.
PROMPT
Would you rather have minimal tableware, or keep enough for a large gathering? What impact does this decision have on you?
To answer that question, I remember my late mother telling me that I like throwing things away 🤣 Actually, I'm just trying to tidy up my house, my room. And unfortunately my late mother had a lot of things that had piled up and were rarely or even no longer used. So, I often throw away things that I think are no longer useful, even though my late mother thought they were still useful.
I admit, since my mother died, and now I only live alone with my husband. I tidied everything up again. Especially my kitchen. When it comes to cutlery, I prefer to have minimal cutlery in my kitchen. Enough.
Meanwhile, for gathering purposes, I prefer to rent tableware which is usually provided by the food catering service.
With the decision I chose, I feel my house has become more spacious because the space feels spacious with fewer items that are rarely used.
With space that feels spacious, my mind can work well to produce creative ideas for my work.
Apart from that, with minimal cutlery, we can save energy spent washing dishes 🤣 did you realize that the more cutlery you have, the lazier you will be to wash dishes?
Well, this is a space to put the cutlery I use every day. Only that.
My husband and I are used to cleaning after cooking and eating. I will cook, then my husband will wash the dishes after we finish eating.
It all became more organized in our lives with less stuff in our lives.
On the other hand, I am also very grateful to be able to marry a man who also promotes a minimalist lifestyle.
My mother-in-law kept saying what my late mother had said to her child (me). My mother-in-law said that my husband likes to throw things at his house. 🤣 When my husband comes home to his mother's house, my husband will be busy cleaning up his mother's kitchen from things that look messy.
That's how it is, the large number of items stored will actually make a room look messy. It takes wisdom to keep the things we really need.
So, what about my job as a food content creator? Don't I have lots of cutlery, especially plates?
Let me show you. This is a collection of plates. In my opinion, this is not much. I try to add to the collection something that just looks unique and is really needed for my cooking.
The most important thing is that I use all the eating utensils interchangeably. Usually if there is a plate or bowl that I no longer want to use because of a change in my plating style, I will give the tableware to another member of my family. So, no cutlery will just sit in storage for a long time. It's better to move them to people who can use them well. ❤️
Living with a minimalist style will make us wiser in using things as maximally as possible. There is nothing to waste even if it is just a piece of wood. ❤️
Thank you for reading my blog and reblog if you want my blog this time worthy of reading by others.

Love this minimalist style!!!❤️
❤️ minimalist style will makes happy in our home. Get rid of stress
good morning dear friend @anggreklestari how are you?
What you say is true, it is preferable to have what is just and necessary, and if on any occasion more utensils are needed for a meeting, with so many rental services, I think it is the most practical solution.
A little before the pandemic my wife and I started our minimalist life, and little by little we are getting used to it
It is good that your husband collaborates with the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen.
I take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful day.
hello @jlufer I enjoy my weekend
We must take a look at home and organizer stuff. It will make the house feel comfortable and spacious

Hi friend, happy Saturday!. What a joy it gives me to coincide with this publication. I think I am from your team and I did not know this lifestyle with this minimalist name, you definitely learn something new every day... I always tell my girl how important it is to get rid of things that no longer serve or we don't need, it was hard for her at the beginning, but since we moved to our new apartment which is really very small, we both share the same vision.
I support the idea of renting the dishes, especially in the kitchen, the more practical everything is the better for me, because I'm also one of those who find it a bit annoying to clean it, and it's usually the part I have to do, because she cooks 🤣 I didn't know what this community was about, I'm going to investigate a little more, right now I'm very enthusiastic about Hive and its diversity of content, I'm happy to discover new spaces to express myself, and I owe this one to you 😘
Happy weekend😊 thats great to start telling your girl to get used not saving the useless stuff at home
so many communities that you have explores. 😊
❤️❤️❤️ Have a minimal day on Weekend.
Your habit of throwing things away makes me smile. I'm always impressed by people who do that because it's so easy to do the opposite.
I dislike too much cutlery that we never use.
Why have some much with no space to pack groceries and everything that is used daily? I like your idea about renting cutlery when needed.
Clear spaces are so relaxing, and it's great when you live with someone who shares the same view.
It's a pleasure to see you here and to read this:)))
Thanks for your #KISS
I enjoyed it 😉
lips sealed
my eyes just can not see the useless stuffs 😅 so I always throwing away something no longer I use. prefer to renting on somewhere if I need for gathering
Having a partner who shares your minimalistic ideas and habits is beautiful. And I love ❤️ your renting from a catering service instead of stocking your house with cutlery.
I love my kitchen to have as much space as possible, so I always do with a few cutlery that are useful to me.
A few cutlery help us to save energies 😅
Haha, I wish I could only keep a minimal of dishware... maybe I will downscale when I do not have 3 kids in the house!
They are also the age where they help with the washing of dishes. Between that and normale use, something breaks every month or so in the kitchen and for that reason, there is no point to reducing how much dishware we have!

ahaha, when you have kids, better to have non ceramic or glass material.
when I was child, our family use stainless kitchenware 🤣
@anggreklestari, @zakludick just sent you LUV. (5/5)
LOL, I needed this right now. My husband and I just packed up everything to move. We still had things that belonged to one of our four children, even though they left the house. Ok, they had the chance, now it's in the trash. We even had stuff from my mother-in-law (she lived with us the last year of her life).
We don't have the space we did before, so now we have the daunting task of deciding which items are the most important to keep, which to give away, which to throw away, and which are still good enough to sell (profits going to our church, otherwise we'd just throw them away).
If you can sell them with lower price, that's good option.
Life is growing. We are adding many new items day by day but organizing activity is low. So, we need to take time to start choose the stuff we still needed, or the stuff we no longer used
So tired to that and makes us lazy for sure. Needed big intention to do that 😊
The minimalist life is just the best way to live

I guess all mothers are somewhat the same, always trying to keep things that are clearly not useful anymore, stocking the house with wares that takes up space.
Living a minimalist life with your husband must be great, someone who shares your idea of living a minimalist life.
Great to know about your minimalist life dear @anggreklestari
