Green Noodles From Ashitaba Plants
Instant noodles can always be a food choice when we are having trouble getting other food stocks. I also often stock up on noodles for certain times to help us from starving.
I also often explore new noodle products in the market. Mostly I bought spicy noodles. But this time what I will share with you is not spicy noodles.
I bought healthy noodles from the *Ashitaki brand. This is my first time to buy this kind of healthy noodle. Let's see!
Green Noodles
We have many choices of green noodles available in the market. We can even make our own green noodles at home. Starting from spinach noodles, Moringa leaf noodles, and more.
In the past, I once managed to make green noodles from Moringa leaves and they tasted delicious! Next time I will make it again with a different version of vegetables.
The green noodles that I bought are from the famous ashitaba plant in Japan. I still remember that I used to make cakes from Ashitaba flour with instant flour and the results were also very interesting and delicious.
So I was excited to try this green noodle from Ashitaba plant. When I unwrapped this product, the smell was not very good. But I don't mind this.
I'm ready to take the risk, because usually healthy noodles won't taste as good as instant noodles in general.
Mixed With Watercress
In the kitchen, there is a supply of watercress. So I mixed green noodles with watercress. I cook them separately.
I prepared the noodles in advance. I cooked the green noodles according to the directions on the product packaging.
I dip the green noodles in boiling water for 5 minutes. After five minutes, the green noodles look very chewy.
While waiting for the green noodles to be served, I also prepared the ingredients for the stir-fry the veggie. I sliced the red onion and garlic. This time I did not use chili, only used pepper powder.
Then, I sauté the red onion and garlic slices.
Then I stir-fry the watercress for a few minutes until it wilts.
I also added salt, sugar, soy sauce, and pepper powder. Mix well and don't forget to adjust the taste.
After the stir-fried watercress is cooked and according to the level of doneness you want, then add the green noodles. Stir briefly then turn off the heat, and remove.
Serve green noodles with watercress while warm, sprinkled with sesame seeds. Also, I added white mushrooms. ❤️
The incident that happened behind this beautiful green noodle: At first I mixed the green noodle with the seasoning that is available in the product packaging. But then the smell and taste of the noodles were really bad, and I didn't want my partner to throw up because of this. Finally, I washed the noodles again to remove the built-in spices from the noodles. That's what I did before I mixed the green noodles into the stir-fried watercress. Fortunately, these noodles can be saved with a better taste.
THE RESULTS
For me, this green noodle is quite tasty. Maybe because there is a veggie that helps this instant noodle. But I don't recommend it to you. Because it seems expensive around $1 but it's not worth it at all.
Well, actually it's not about the healthy noodles. It's about the seasoning they put in the packaging. The seasoning from this product is really suck!
So it's better not to eat healthy noodles with a strange texture. But luckily these noodles didn't end up in the trash can.
Would I buy it again? No, Thank you. It doesn't suit my taste buds. But you can try it yourself at home if you find this product.

I believe they can cost you more than the regular instant noodle like Indomie or Mie Sedap isn't it?
Nice that you can recover the noodle after the first accident.
Hi @anggreklestari, sometimes it's good to get out of the routine and risk trying new flavors, even if you didn't like the noodle, you had the experience to check its taste for yourself.
Happy and blessed Sunday!!!
Hello @anggreklestari from time to time it is good to go on the adventure of new flavors to delight our palate.
As always your photos are very creative and beautiful. Does the taste change after adding sugar or does it taste sweet?
