Life is always changing, quickly, more than we think. We need to pause to realize what is going on, and, this is life. So I did that. Do what? Well, I stopped for a moment from all the work activities that I have consistently done. That sounds heavy to do and doesn't sound like my type. But this is the reality.

As you can see, I haven't been posting actively for almost a week. Oh, I miss writing about food, and here I am now.

Some things have changed in my life. Pssst, I'll keep that a secret for now. BUT, I promise to post about it in the next few days. It's about happy news and there's no way I wouldn't share it with you guys. I'm sure of that.

Stay at GRAND CITY HALL Medan

I also decided to take a breath for a moment, and leave my routine activities. I went to stay at a hotel I had been to before for a staycation.

I chose to stay again at the Grand City Hall Hotel in Medan City. Comfort with services that can pamper me is available at this hotel.

While staying at this hotel, I was used to ordering food from the “Room Dining Service” for lunch or for dinner. This service makes it easier for me to meet my meal time needs without having to struggle to get out of the room.

Well, indeed, it looks tiring if you have to leave the room, then go downstairs to look for food. So indeed, Room Dining Service is the right choice for me.

I will share with you the menu for dinner that I enjoyed in the Grand City Hall Hotel room. I hope you guys can enjoy my food blog again this time after a few days I didn't post on HIVE. Stay tuned!

SINGAPORE CHICKEN RICE

I imagined rice with spices, also served with a warm and comforting soup. So, I ordered Singapore Chicken Rice. I didn't think long about this.

Indeed, this is my first time ordering Singapore Chicken Rice. So at least it won't be a problem in terms of comfort for my tongue and taste.

My order came in neat plastic wrap. This detail is quite important to me, and it keeps the dish hygienic as long as the food is on its way from the restaurant to the diners' room.

About Singapore Chicken Rice, I think it will be familiar with Indonesian food. So, it was. But, in my opinion, rice with the same type of spices in Indonesia has a stronger taste, compared to this menu.

Actually, I was a little disappointed with the overall taste of the Singapore Chicken Rice. That's because my tongue is used to enjoying strong-flavored foods. Meanwhile, the taste of this dish, from chicken to soup, all lacks a strong sense of spice.

But on the other hand, this menu is suitable for tired and sick people. Menu with soup which is good enough to restore energy.

Although disappointed, it's not a big problem for me. I still have the word “enjoying” from Singapore Chicken Rice. Not the best of my fav meal, but decent enough to be enjoyed for those of you who actually like soups with a light taste, but warm in the body.

STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE

Life isn't always perfect, but we can assume something is perfect because we decide it. Indeed, my food choices are not so perfect on my tongue, but I finally enjoy a beverage that completes my dinner.

It was about Strawberry Milkshake. The sweetness is not too much, with the right combination of strawberry, milk, and cream flavors. What a nice milkshake :)

I'm glad I got the chance to take a break from my routine for a while. I fully realized what had happened in my life. I am prepared for the new things to come.

Accompanied by the night lights from tall buildings in Medan City, I am grateful for the dishes that I can still enjoy, with love, and also with a happier taste than the previous days.
