A Mind Blowing Roasted Pineapple Recipe
Many recipes are created by accident. It doesn't always end badly and is actually awesome!
What? Roasted Pineapple? I never thought it would end better than I expected. Because I've never thought about roasting fruit before, especially with the air-fryer method.
At first I thought it would be weird. But by accident, I finally discovered the delicious taste of Roasted Pineapple. Finally I tried again and this time I documented what I made for you for Hive People.
Well, in my area, roasted pineapple is not something that is familiar. But maybe in your area it is common and you can give your opinion in the comments column. I really appreciate it.
Making roasted pineapple is very easy. We can even make it with a pan. It's just that if you use a pan, use a non-stick pan and keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn.
Using Cinnamon Powder
To strengthen the taste, use cinnamon powder. But basically without cinnamon powder it's not a problem, because pineapple has a delicious natural fragrance.
Because I ran out of cinnamon powder, I made my own cinnamon powder. I took one stick of cinnamon and made smaller pieces. Then I blended it several times until it became powder. I filtered the blender to separate the cinnamon flakes and cinnamon powder.
Using Sweet Ripe Pineapple
If you use canned pineapple, it will be easier to find the sweet one. But if you need to buy fresh one, then make sure you buy pineapple from a trusted seller to get sweet pineapple.
I always buy pineapples from my regular seller, and I am never disappointed. I always get sweet pineapple.
But if you can't find sweet pineapple, then you have to add a sprinkle of sugar to each pineapple slice. So the taste will be delicious.
Preparing Pineapple
I need extra strength to peel the pineapple because I use fresh pineapple. First, I cut the pineapple into two parts because I only used half of the pineapple.
After that, I peeled the pineapple. It doesn't stop there, I have to remove the eyes on the pineapple (the black dots on the pineapple flesh). I removed the parts with the cut direction lengthwise to the side.
Removing the pineapple eyes in this way will make the pineapple slices have a beautiful flower-like shape.
Do not forget to remove the hard part on the middle of the pineapple flesh. But you can skip this part if you don’t have problem with that because this step is not create effect for the taste.
After finishing removing the eyes and removing hard part in the middle of the pineapple, I washed the pineapple clean with drinking water. In some types of pineapple in Indonesia, pineapple can even leave an itchy feeling on the tongue. So we need to cover that type of pineapple with salt to avoid itching.
My pineapple type is not the itchy pineapple type. So I just need to wash them without adding salt.
Then, slice pineapple. Don't make it too thin because it will cause the pineapple to burn easily during the roasting process.
After that, sprinkle pineapple slices with cinnamon powder. Don't oversprinkle the cinnamon powder. That will create a strange taste and smell that will be unpleasant later.
Roast pineapple slices for 15-20 minutes each side. The important note, the thicker the pineapple slices, the longer the roasting time will be. But if you use thin pineapple slices, only use 10 minutes overall and don't need to flip them on the other side.
Serving Suggestion
In my opinion, adding creamy coconut sauce would be even more perfect. But my husband prefers to eat in the original way with no additional sauce.
In fact, I really like these roasted pineapples. I think so far these things are new favorite healthy snacks instead of having to eat packaged products from the market.
I'm happy, my accident in processing pineapple for drink garnishes before made me find a recipe for healthy snacks. I'm so happy! So, have you ever eaten roasted pineapple?

It is delicious! I love roasted pineapple 🧡🧡🧡
glad you have taste the roasted pineapple ❤️
That's what cooking is all about, experimenting and trying things you've never prepared before. To be honest with you, this is the first time I've read that someone makes roasted pineapple.
You are incredible dear friend @anggreklestari I admire your creativity
Thank you very much for innovating and sharing this experience
Thanks my friend. So many experiment we can do in the kitchen.
I just bought a pineapple, pretty much for the sole purpose of planting the leafy green top (to grow more pineapples)!
I think I will try this recipe later today! Thank you for sharing!
You should try it. And let me know if you did it
It tastes great! The cinnamon is an excellent addition. Only mine doesn't look as elegant as yours. I don't have turmeric leaves (at first I thought it was ginger) haha.
Whoa! Greaaat that's suitable in your taste as well. 😊❤️
Grilling pineapple, pan searing, or putting it as a topping on pizza are all popular here, but I'm sure that as soon as I tell my son about using the air fryer, he'll want to try it. He loves to cook when it comes to using an air fryer.
I assume that the air fryer method makes the pineapple a bit less moist than the other methods of cooking, maybe closer to dehydrated?
Yes, more closer to dehydrated method. The outside a bit dry but the inside still soft
And this looks delicious!... ;)

Thank you ❤️
I think pineapple has a strange flavor, but maybe it's good when roasted. As you said, some dishes come by chance and can be masterpieces. The important thing is that the person who eats it likes it and if you like it, bon appetit!
I thought because you are not get used to eat Pineapple 😊
But for me, mostly I Made juice with green leaves. Rarely to eat as fruit itself
Yeah you are right. We don't eat it often.
I'll try what you said :)
I just love it. Roasted pineapple is delicious to eat as dessert or for a healthy snack. It's kind of popular around here, but most people roast it with no cinnamon to go with savory dishes.
Loved the presentation ❤️
Whoa, great in there have these kind of roasted Pineapple slices ❤️
I had already told you how in love I was with this roasted pineapple, it is not common in my area either.
Thanks for showing us how you did it 😍😍😍😍
Yeaaah, that's worth to try it! ❤️❤️❤️
