[SPA-ENG] Digestive system in mockup / Sistema digestivo en maqueta.
No podemos detenernos, es por eso que con nuestras manos seguimos trabajando y aprendiendo a elaborar una variedad de artesanias que son siempre útiles. Un proyecto escolar particularmente llamó mi atención y es que me pidieron que hiciera una maqueta del sistema digestivo en poliestireno expandido y me he detenido a pensar en las diversas maneras de trabajar con este material para poder lograr lo que se me estaba pidiendo.
We cannot stop, that is why we continue working with our hands and learning to make a variety of crafts that are always useful. A school project particularly caught my attention and they asked me to make a model of the digestive system in expanded polystyrene and I have stopped to think about the various ways of working with this material in order to achieve what was being asked of me.
Como modelo usé un trabajo pasado pintado sobre hoja bond de 66x96 cm.
As a model I used a past work painted on a 66x96 cm bond sheet.
Empecé a trabajar sobre una lamina de 2,5 cm de poliestireno expandido y un cutter para definir la forma y redondear los bordes, de esta manera la forma adquiere una apariencia mas agradable de bordes no tan afilados.
I began to work on a 2.5 cm sheet of expanded polystyrene and a cutter to define the shape and round the edges, in this way the shape acquires a more pleasant appearance with not so sharp edges.
Para los organos internos usé una lámina de poliestireno de 1 cm de espesor. Los organos se recortaron y se redondearon los bordes, sacando unos trozos en lugares especificos para dar una sensación de profundidad y volumen.
Todas estas piezas se pintan por separado y se dejan secar para armar posteriormente la maqueta.
For the internal organs I used a 1 cm thick sheet of polystyrene. The organs were trimmed and the edges rounded, removing pieces in specific places to give a sensation of depth and volume.
All these pieces are painted separately and left to dry to later assemble the model.
Con dos o 3 capas de pinutura, dependiendo del color se terminó de dar color base y con con una pistola de silicona caliente se pegó cada pieza en su lugar. Algunos detalles de color fueron dados después, como lineas y claroscuro que terminarian de dar contraste a los organos de esta maqueta.
Como base usé una lamina de 2,5 cm de espesor de poliestireno y la cubrí con cartulina azul pegando y asegurando la figura humana con palillos de madera y silicona.
Teniendo todo armado, pintado y firme, lo único que falta es señalar cada parte del sistema digestivo y eso lo logramos con unas etiquetas muy sencillas.
With two or 3 layers of paint, depending on the color, the base color was finished and with a hot glue gun each piece was glued in place. Some color details were given later, such as lines and chiaroscuro that would finish giving contrast to the organs of this model.
As a base I used a 2.5 cm thick sheet of polystyrene and covered it with blue cardboard, gluing and securing the human figure with wooden sticks and silicone.
Having everything assembled, painted and firm, the only thing missing is to indicate each part of the digestive system and we achieved that with some very simple labels.
Estoy contenta de haber podido realizar esta maqueta que sé fue de mucho provecho para alguien y que a mi me dejó una experiencia muy gratificante y mucho por limpiar despues de picar tanto poliestireno expandido.
