¡¡Hola a todos los amantes y aficionados de la costura!!

Hoy les mostraré mi actividad más reciente relacionada con este lindo tema que a muchos les encanta y que considero que es parte de toda familia.

Siempre existe una tía, abuela, abuelo que es o fue costurero, modista o sastre en las familias y que por él o ella de alguna u otra forma a los demás nos empapa el tema.

En mi caso, mi abuela Elina es una aficionada a la costura, ella cuenta que desde niña ha sentido mucho interés por todo lo relacionado con ese tema y aunque de profesión ejercicio la docencia, la costura siempre ha sido su pasatiempo favorito, a nosotras sus nietas, nos enseñó todo lo que pudo siempre mostrándonos la importancia de saber defendernos con una máquina de coser para cualquier emergencia u ocasión.

Dentro de su fanatismo por la costura abuela, colecciona revistas de moda, de esas que traen instrucciones, consejos y patrones para hacer prendas de ropa, tiene una colección de más de 100 revistas de esas y hoy en día a sus 80 años todavía cose guiándose por ellas.

Estas revistas son superinteresantes, estoy segura de que la mayoría debe conocerlas, pero si no la conoces te la muestro, ellas traen en su interior fotos de prendas de la época del momento y al final tienen el patrón y las instrucciones para sacar cualquiera de las que ahí aparecen y que luego tú puedas confeccionar esa prenda que te gustó de la revista.

Yo, que de niña aprendí con mi abuela a sacar estos patrones, hoy les mostraré como se hace, ya que estuve sacando uno para que mi abuela me haga un bonito vestido.

Para sacar tu patrón necesitarás:

*Papel de trazo
*Papel carbón
*La revista y los suplementos.
*lápiz
*Alfileres.
*Regla.
*Tijera.

Lo primero es, como les mencione anteriormente, buscar la prenda que te gusta (En mi caso escogí un bonito vestido blanco), luego verás que a un ladito de la prenda existe un número.

Con ese número irás al final de la revista y observarás que está la guía de cómo sacar el patrón.

Estos patrones vienen en unas hojas aparte dentro de la misma revista que se llaman suplementos.

En la guía te dirá en cuál suplemento se encuentran las piezas de la prenda de tu preferencia y te dirá también como es la línea (color y punteado) que tienes que seguir para trazar cada pieza según tu talla, porque también traen varias tallas.

Luego vas a necesitar papel de trazo, papel carbón y la hoja del suplemento. Vas a colocar el papel para sacar tu patrón en un mesón con suficiente espacio, sobre ese papel colocaras el papel carbón y sobre el papel carbón colocaras la hoja del suplemento donde aparezcan tus piezas.

Lo fijas todo con alfileres para que no se te mueva, y comienzas con un lápiz y una regla a trazar cada pieza guiándote por la línea que corresponda.

Una vez copiadas todas las piezas, las cortas y así tendrás tu patrón para cortar las piezas en la tela y posteriormente confeccionar tu prenda de vestir.

Esto es muy sencillo de hacer y la verdad que para los principiantes de la costura o aficionados como mi abuela es una herramienta súper chevere porque te ayuda a no cometer errores a la hora de confeccionar algún patrón para hacerte un lindo outfit.

Hello to all sewing lovers and fans!!

Today I will show you my most recent activity related to this beautiful theme that many love and that I consider to be part of every family.

There is always an aunt, grandmother, grandfather who is or was a seamstress, seamstress or tailor in families and who, in one way or another, soaks up the subject for the rest of us.

In my case, my grandmother Elina is a fan of sewing, she says that since she was a child she has felt a lot of interest in everything related to this subject and although I teach by profession, sewing has always been her favorite hobby, for us her granddaughters, she taught us everything she could, always showing us the importance of knowing how to defend ourselves with a sewing machine for any emergency or occasion.

Within her fanaticism for grandmother sewing, she collects fashion magazines, the kind that bring instructions, advice and patterns to make clothes, she has a collection of more than 100 of those magazines and today at 80 years old she still sews guided by them.

These magazines are super interesting, I'm sure most of you must be familiar with them, but if you don't know them I'll show you, they contain photos of garments from the time of the moment and at the end they have the pattern and the instructions to take out any of the that they appear there and that later you can make that garment that you liked from the magazine.

I, who as a child learned with my grandmother to make these patterns, today I will show you how to do it, since I was making one for my grandmother to make me a nice dress.

To draw your pattern you will need:

*tracing paper
*Carbon paper
*The magazine and supplements.
*pencil
*Pins.
*Rule.
*Scissors.

The first thing is, as I mentioned before, find the garment you like (In my case I chose a nice white dress), then you will see that next to the garment there is a number.

With that number you will go to the end of the magazine and you will see that there is a guide on how to get the pattern.

These patterns come on separate sheets within the same magazine called supplements.

In the guide it will tell you in which supplement the pieces of the garment of your choice are found and it will also tell you what the line is like (color and dotted) that you have to follow to draw each piece according to your size, because they also come in various sizes.

Then you will need tracing paper, carbon paper, and the supplement sheet. You are going to place the paper to get your pattern on a table with enough space, on that paper you will place the carbon paper and on the carbon paper you will place the sheet of the supplement where your pieces appear.

You fix everything with pins so that it doesn't move, and start with a pencil and a ruler to trace each piece, guiding yourself along the corresponding line.

Once all the pieces have been copied, you cut them and thus you will have your pattern to cut the pieces on the fabric and later make your garment.

This is very simple to do and the truth is that for sewing beginners or amateurs like my grandmother it is a super cool tool because it helps you not to make mistakes when making a pattern to make a nice outfit.
