[ENG|ESP] Playing the Sims 4 for the first time! My inner child is happy! | did it surpass its predecessor?

¡Holaaa mis queridos amigos de Hive! Lo cierto es que no soy mucho de jugar y tampoco de estar haciendo reseñas de juegos pero no podía evitar hablar de los Sims 4 y quiero hacer mi primer post en esta comunidad hablando del juego que hizo mi parte de mi infancia feliz y me adentró a este mundo. Y es que soy una fan pero fan de este juego, no saben las ganas que tenia de jugar por mi cuenta este juego y lo que sufrí por no tener una computadora que pudiera correrlo y que finalmente haya podido probarlo me llena de mucha emoción.

Hello my dear friends of Hive! The truth is that I'm not much of a gamer and I'm not much of a game reviewer but I couldn't avoid talking about the Sims 4 and I want to make my first post in this community talking about the game that made part of my childhood happy and introduced me to this world. And I am a fan but a fan of this game, you don't know how much I wanted to play this game on my own and how much I suffered for not having a computer that could run it and that finally I have been able to try it fills me with a lot of emotion.

Les cuento que la primera vez que jugué los Sims fue cuando aquí en Venezuela existían los famosos Cyber que eran comercios con computadoras y te alquilaban la hora de navegación para que pudieras realizar ya sea tus trabajos o, como habían muchos niños en la zona (incluyéndome) y no tenían pc en sus casas o consolas, iban a estros centros a jugar y bueno. Y bueno, justo frente a mi casa había un cyber y aquí tenían este juego, el chico que estaba pendiente de las computadoras como era mi amigo me dijo que probara ese juego y para que fue eso. Me obsesioné gente, no podía dormir por querer ir a jugar. En ese entonces eran los Sims 2 y me encantó el poder construir, crear la casa de mis sueños, trabajar y demás. Luego cuando finalmente logré tener mi propia PC descargué los Sims 3 pero por espacio y falta de RAM no podía tener todas las expansiones, un tiempo después dejé de tener computadora y ya no pude jugar más hasta el día de hoy que mi amor @hectorfaria1 me descargó nuevamente los Sims 3 con TODAS sus expansiones y accesorios,fue tanta mi emoción que me dijo para descargar los Sims 4 y yo sin dudar obviamente le dije que claro que lo quería probar. Y esto nos lleva hasta aquí, les contaré un poquito de mi experiencia y mis primeras impresiones del juego ¡Así que comencemos!

I tell you that the first time I played the Sims was when here in Venezuela there were the famous Cyber that were stores with computers and they rented you the hour of navigation so you could do either your work or, as there were many children in the area (including me) and did not have pc in their homes or consoles, they went to these centers to play and well. And well, right in front of my house there was a cyber and here they had this game, the guy who was watching the computers as he was my friend told me to try that game and what was that for. I became obsessed people, I couldn't sleep for wanting to go play. Back then it was Sims 2 and I loved being able to build, create my dream house, work and so on. Then when I finally got my own PC I downloaded the Sims 3 but because of space and lack of RAM I could not have all the expansions, some time later I stopped having a computer and I could not play anymore until today that my love @hectorfaria1 downloaded again the Sims 3 with ALL its expansions and accessories, I was so excited that he told me to download the Sims 4 and without hesitation obviously I told him that of course I wanted to try it. And this brings us to here, I'll tell you a little bit of my experience and my first impressions of the game, so let's begin!

Bueno, primero tengo que confesarles que ya yo me había creado mi Sims por la emoción jaja y porque no sabía muy bien como tomarles fotos a la pantalla para ir mostrandoles todo el proceso pero logré descargar una aplicación y cree un Sim nuevo solo para mostrarles un poquito el proceso de creación.

Lo primero que noté cuando comencé a jugar los Sims 4 fue que toda la experiencia de creación de tu personaje había cambiado y se había amplificado. Ahora tienes la opción de crear una historia donde te dan la opción de responder unas preguntas para darte un sim con una personalidad acorde a las preguntas que respondiste. Yo utilicé esta opción porque sinceramente no sabía como salir de ese modo y elegir mi propia personalidad. Tal vez ese es un punto que consideré negativo del juego que ya no lo considero tan instintivo y más adelante les diré por qué.

Well, first I have to confess that I had already created my Sims because of the emotion haha and because I didn't know how to take pictures of the screen to show you the whole process but I managed to download an application and I created a new Sim just to show you a little bit of the creation process.

The first thing I noticed when I started playing Sims 4 was that the whole experience of creating your character had changed and had been amplified. Now you have the option to create a story where you are given the option to answer a few questions to give you a sim with a personality according to the questions you answered. I used this option because I honestly didn't know how to get out of that mode and choose my own personality. Maybe that is a point that I considered a negative of the game that I no longer consider it so instinctive and later I will tell you why.

Ya luego de haberme saltado la opción de la historia procedemos a la creación del Sim, con su personalidad, actitudes, aptitudes y aspiraciones. Aquí hay mucha más variedad, tanta que no sabía que elegir jajaja. Hasta habían aspiraciones referidas a estos tiempos de las redes e influencers eso fue algo que me gustó.

After skipping the history option, we proceed to the creation of the Sim, with its personality, attitudes, aptitudes and aspirations. Here there is much more variety, so much that I didn't know what to choose hahaha. There were even aspirations referred to these times of networks and influencers, that was something I liked.

Una de las cosas que se me complicó en un principio fue la creación física del sims, la cara y el cuerpo, aquí se supone que hay una creación mucho más personalizada a diferencia de su antecesor que ya venia todo prediseñado y solo le podías hacer una que otras adaptaciones en las opciones avanzadas, aquí no, aquí con solo arrastrar el mouse puedes estirar la barbilla, aumentar los gluteos, subir o bajar la nariz, separar los ojos. El problema que tuve fue que necesitaba como una base para empezar y los diseños prediseñados no me gustaron mucho y lo que les mencioné de que con arrastrar el mouse acomodabas los detalles no lo había comprendido en un principio pero ya ahora con la creación del otro sim para mostrarles a ustedes si me gustó un poco más el proceso.

One of the things that complicated me at the beginning was the physical creation of the sims, the face and the body, here it is supposed that there is a much more personalized creation unlike its predecessor that already came all pre-designed and you could only make some adaptations in the advanced options, not here, here with just dragging the mouse you can stretch the chin, increase the buttocks, raise or lower the nose, separate the eyes. The problem I had was that I needed a base to start with and I didn't like the predesigned designs and I didn't understand what I mentioned about dragging the mouse to adjust the details at the beginning but now with the creation of the other sim to show you, I liked the process a little bit more.

Ahora ya con nuestro sims listo, empezamos el juego. Me di cuenta que en esta versión hay situaciones mucho más realistas, por ejemplo, aquí te puede salir vello 😂 Cosa de la que no me percaté hasta que le puse shorts a mi sim jajaja.

Now with our sims ready, we start the game. I realized that in this version there are much more realistic situations, for example, here you can get hair 😂 Something I didn't realize until I put shorts on my sim hahaha.

¿Recuerdan que les mencioné sobre que una de las aspiraciones podrían ser cosas respecto a las redes sociales o ser influencers? Pues también lo podemos ver como una profesión. Aunque no lo elegí en su momento porque quería probar la experiencia de que en esta versión del juego podíamos acompañar a nuestro sims a trabajar pero solo lo podemos hacer con tres profesiones en el área: Policial, Cientifica y Medicina. Elegí en un principio la de policía pero tal vez más adelante pruebe las otras ¿por qué no?

Remember I mentioned that one of the aspirations could be things like social media or being an influencer? Well we can also see it as a profession. Although I didn't choose it at the time because I wanted to try the experience that in this version of the game we could accompany our sims to work but we can only do it with three professions in the area: Police, Scientific and Medicine. I chose at first the police but maybe later I will try the others, why not?

Admito que al principio me costó un poquito adaptarme al juego, supongo porque no vi ningún tutorial o ya no recordaba nada de los vídeos que vi sobre este juego cuando apenas había salido. Toda la experiencia con los controles y los nuevos comandos fue nuevo para mi. Creo que una de las cosas que más pero más me costó fue el salir de mi casa, no podía encontrar el mapa y cuando bajaba de mi edificio no me mostraba nada más allá de lo cercano a donde vivía porque en los Sims 3 el mapa lo tenías a simple vista en cambio en esta versión accedes desde el celular y si que me costó descubrirlo. Otra cosa que me costó fue el seguimiento de mi sim, aquí para hacerlo debes darle click derecho en el cuadro de su rostro para que la cámara siempre lo esté siguiendo. Todo lo de construcción esta es del lado superior derecho y abajo tienes todo lo que concierne a tu sim. Cosa que en el anterior todo estaba abajo.

I admit that at the beginning it took me a little bit to adapt to the game, I guess because I didn't see any tutorial or I didn't remember anything from the videos I saw about this game when it had just come out. The whole experience with the controls and the new commands was new to me. I think one of the things that cost me the most was to leave my house, I couldn't find the map and when I went down from my building it didn't show me anything beyond how close I lived because in Sims 3 you had the map at a glance but in this version you access it from the cell phone and I had a hard time discovering it. Another thing that cost me was the tracking of my sim, here to do it you must right click on the picture of his face so that the camera is always following him. All the construction is on the upper right side and below you have everything that concerns your sim. In the previous one everything was at the bottom.

Pero una de las cosas que más me gustó y creo que me hará renunciar a mi trabajo (en el juego claro) solo para dedicarme más a esto es que ¡Puedes tener tu propio negocio! Cuando me di cuenta de esto lo primero que hice fue comprar una veterinaria porque me encantan los animales. Aún estoy en proceso de arreglarla y de que suba para recibir buenas críticas ¡Deseenme suerte!

Pero una de las cosas que más me gustó y creo que me hará renunciar a mi trabajo (en el juego claro) solo para dedicarme más a esto es que ¡Puedes tener tu propio negocio! Cuando me di cuenta de esto lo primero que hice fue comprar una veterinaria porque me encantan los animales. Aún estoy en proceso de arreglarla y de que suba para recibir buenas críticas ¡Deseenme suerte!

Otra de las cosas que me gustó mucho es que hay demasiadas actividades, nunca te vas a aburrir aunque hay una diferencia con el desplazamiento que cada vez que vas a un lugar, un local o algo es que siempre te va a abrir una ventana de carga. No es como el otro juego que hasta podías seleccionar ir al lugar que querías a pie, en caballo, pasear a tu mascota o simplemente trotar hasta el destino que querías. Aquí todo esta dividido y siempre te va a cargar cuando vayas a un destino en específico, es una de las cosas que veo un poco tediosa sobre todo para mi pc que aunque puedo correr el juego no navega de una manera óptima porque aún me faltan algunas características para mejorar la experiencia del juego.

Another thing that I really liked is that there are too many activities, you will never get bored although there is a difference with the scrolling that every time you go to a place, a place or something is that it will always open a loading window. It is not like the other game that you could even select to go to the place you wanted on foot, on horseback, walk your pet or just jog to the destination you wanted. Here everything is divided and will always load when you go to a specific destination, it is one of the things that I see a little tedious especially for my pc that although I can run the game does not navigate in an optimal way because I still lack some features to improve the game experience.

Pero sinceramente, ya después que le agarras todos los trucos, el juego es espectacular. Me encanta poder ir a trabajar y ayudar a mi sims a resolver casos y a atrapar a los malos. Tener mi propio negocio, trabajar allí y a la vez tener mis propios empleados. Por cierto, les parecerá rápido pero ¡Me voy a casar! jajaja. Si quieren que les muestre todo el proceso no duden en decirme, capaz les grabe la experiencia porque en este juego no solo está la opción de casarse sino que puedes realizar los eventos previos que ocurren usualmente antes e unirse en matrimonio como lo es la cena de ensayo, la reunion familiar, la fiesta de solteros y otras cosas más. Me gustaría mucho enseñarles eso.

But honestly, once you get the hang of it, the game is spectacular. I love being able to go to work and help my sims solve cases and catch bad guys. Having my own business, working there and at the same time having my own employees. By the way, this may seem fast but I'm getting married! hahaha. If you want me to show you the whole process don't hesitate to tell me, I might record the experience for you because in this game you not only have the option to get married but you can also do the previous events that usually happen before getting married such as the rehearsal dinner, the family reunion, the bachelor party and other things. I would really like to show you that.

De verdad que estoy cumpliendo un sueño al finalmente jugar los Sims 4, aunque si es cierto que hay algunas cosas que los Sims 3 tienen que ya en este juego no está y lo hacía atractivo como por ejemplo, uno que noté que fue el momento de la pedida de mano, simplemente salió una ventana diciendo que se había aceptado el compromiso y los sims se abrazaron mientras que en el juego pasado el sim que pedía el compromiso se arrodillaba, mostraba el anillo y después se abrazaban, ese cambio me decepcionó un poco sentí que le quitó emoción jajaja pero estoy feliz con este juego, aún me faltan muchas cosas por probar y si quieren les podría mostrar más cosas de este juego. Solo tienen que decirme.

I'm really fulfilling a dream by finally playing Sims 4, although it is true that there are some things that Sims 3 has that is not in this game and made it attractive as for example, one that I noticed was the moment of the proposal, I just got a window saying that the engagement was accepted and the sims hugged each other while in the last game the sim that asked for the engagement knelt down, showed the ring and then they hugged, that change disappointed me a little bit I felt it took away the emotion hahaha but I am happy with this game, I still have many things to try and if you want I could show you more things of this game.
